"Today, a professional contemporary art gallery was born, which is the realization of a complete show, collection, research and public education!" Along with the well-known art historian, curator Lv Peng's speech. July 1, 2011, "Collecting History-China New Art", Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum (Chengdu MOCA) Opening Ceremony was held in the Chengdu High-tech Zone. Chengdu Lu Peng was invited to be the first curator of Chengdu MOCA.

There are works from nearly 30 important Chinese contemporary artists in the opening exhibition to show Chinese contemporary art three-dimensional schematic timeline. Artists in the site: Fang Lijun, Gu Wenda, He Duoling, Liu Xiaodong, Wang Guangyi, Sui Jianguo, Zhou Chunya, etc. will all be present. They all celebrate China's most vibrant contemporary art center of the Tianfu to have himself an important contemporary art of communication and exhibition, education positions.
