“Glorious course and epic scroll” exhibition to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the foundation of CPC held at National Art Museum of China , June 27.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, an artistic exhibition is currently on display to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China at Hall 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 at the National Art Museum of China since June 27 until July 18.

This exhibition entitled “Glorious course and epic scroll” is an important cultural event to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the foundation of CPC and display remarkable achievements. Cultural Minister Cai Wu addressed in the opening speech on June 27, this exhibition comprises a large number of excellent artistic works with the theme of the history of the Communist Party of China. The show fully reflect the artistic creation with the guideline of the Party on the literature and art, especially fruitful achievements in the field of the artistic creation with certain themes.

It has three features: the glary course and great achievements of CPC by epic painting pictures; the age works of Chinese art creation under guidance of literature and art of CPC; the academic characters of Chinese art in creations of important subjects with vivid themes and high artistry.

The Minister also said, the exhibition is hoped to encourage and inspire the passion and the love to the Party, the nation and the people and further inspire numerous artists to make new contribution to the prosperity and development of the socialist culture.

Great efforts have been made to prepare for the exhibition since the planning until the public educational project during the display. The exhibition comprise a total of nearly 300 excellent artworks with a wide range of categories, such as the traditional Chinese paintings, the oil paintings, the engravings, the sculptures, the comic books and the Chinese New Year pictures. The exhibits are mostly collections from the National Art Museum of China as well as precious collections from domestic and oversea major museums, art galleries and artistic organizations. The exhibition is expected to reflect not only the glorious journey and remarkable achievements of the Communist Party of China and but also academic features of the Chinese art surrounding the creation with major themes.

The organization and preparation of exhibition received great support and assistance from Party History Research Center of CPC Central Committee. The exhibition includes three parts, namely, “to win the great victory of the New Democratic Revolution”, “the period of the Socialist Revolution and Construction”, and “the new period of the reform and opening up and also modernization construction”.
