Yu Youhan:Abstract 1991-8

Forever, brand licensee of Christie’s, is pleased to announce the completion of payment from successful bidders for the Ullens Collection of Chinese Contemporary Art within seven weeks.

The Ullens collection being auctioned at Forever encompasses an exceptional array of Chinese Contemporary art works from the late nineties. There are pieces by notable artists such as Yu Youhan, Feng Zhengjie, Chen Yifei, Mao Lizi, Zhang Gong, Zeng Hao,Yi Ling and Zhong Genglue.

Collectors from home and abroad vied over the art pieces on May 22th through bidding over the phone and inside the saleroom, resulting in 100% of the lots sold. The highlight of the sale was the enthusiastic bidding from several European collectors over the phone, which pushed Yu Youhan’s Abstract 1991-8 (Lot 20) multiple folds over its pre-sale estimate.
