In order to celebrate 90th anniversary of Chinese Communist Party and commemorate 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, Calligraphy Works Exhibition of Duan Chenggui is held in National Art Museum of China. Calligraphic works of cursive script and official script in the exhibition were created recently, different from works created in the past. The cursive script likes a galloping horse without pauses or moving clouds and running water which make you comfortable. The writing trace is smooth and continual and its technique is well-proportioned. However, official script likes bamboo painting and shows straight and primitive-simplicity characters with good meaning. The artistic conception changes among firmness and flexibleness, looseness and denseness, curve and straightness, clearness and chaos, peace and danger, dynamic and quietness, strangeness and primitive simplicity to search for harmony, extremely comfortable.
