1939年出生于四川成都。1966年毕业于中央工艺美术学院。1976年后历任人民出版社美术编辑;1986年后曾担任中国美协插图装帧艺术委员会副主任。中国美术家协会会员。长期从事书籍装帧和文学插图、连环画、招贴画、油画、国画的设计与创作，作品曾获1982年全国书籍艺术展优秀插图、封面设计奖;1986年全国书籍艺术展优秀插图、封面设计奖;1991年第二届幼儿图书奖一等奖;1991年中国优秀美术图书奖特别金奖等。2006年，任中国美协插图艺委会副主任。作品主要发表于《20世纪中国美术——博物馆藏画三卷本》、《中国现代美术全集——插图卷》、《中国现代美术全集——现代重彩卷》、《纪念反法西斯战争胜利60周年国际艺术作品展画集》等。

　　Born in 1939 in Chengdu City of Sichuan Province, Qin Long graduated from the Central Academy of Craft Art in 1966. In 1976, Qin became an art editor for the People’s Publishing House. After 1986, Qin took the position of Deputy Head of Illustration and Book Binding Design Art Committee of China Artists Association, and later became a member of the China Artists Association. Qin has long engaged in the design and creation work of book binding design, illustration painting, comic books, posters, oil painting and Chinese painting. His works won him the Excellent Illustration Prize and Cover Design Prize during the 1982 National Book Industry Art Exhibition, and the Special Gold Prize of 1911 China Excellent Books of Fine Art Prize. In 2006, Qin became the Deputy Head of the Illustration Art Committee of the China Artists Association. His works are most famously included in the Chinese Fine Art of the 20th Century—Three Volumes of Museum Collections, the Chinese Modern Fine Art—Illustrations, the Chinese Modern Fine Art—Modern Heavy Colored Painting, the International Art Exhibition of Paintings in Honor of the 60th Anniversary of Victory over Fascism, but appreciation of his talents is by no means limited to these examples.
