又名子徐，号简公。1952年生于黑龙江铁力市。1976年毕业于哈尔滨师范大学美术系。1985年、1993年分别深造于西安美术学院、中央美术学院。1987年于黑龙江展览馆举办本省首次个人大型书法展。1988年、1990年两次应邀赴日本北海道举办个人书画展。2000年赴法国巴黎参加现代艺术展。现为北京大学资源美术学院特聘教授。

　　书画作品多次参展，发表于国内重要书刊，如《中国油画》、《中国书画》、《艺术界》等。十几年来，倾注大量心血关注与发掘、培养天籁型画家。广泛地涉猎了油画、中国画、书法、抽象艺术、摄影、诗歌等艺术领域，并创作了大量的作品。　　

　　Xu Zhongping

　　Painting under the alias: Zi Xu with the courtesy name of Jian Gong, Xu Zhongping was Born in 1952 in Tieli City, Heilongjiang Province. His education is impressive. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Harbin Normal University in 1976 and moved on to study at the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 1985. He later continued his studies in the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1993. His career is equally notable. He held his first large-scale solo-exhibition of calligraphy in the Heilongjiang Exhibition Center in 1987. He was then invited to Hokkaido, Japan in 1988 and 1990 to hold subsequent solo-exhibitions of his calligraphy and paintings.  He then participated in Modern Art Exhibition in Paris, France in 2000. In addition to painting he has shared his skills through teaching and was specially appointed as a professor in Peking University Resource Academy of Fine Arts.

　　His works of calligraphy and painting have been on display in many exhibitions. They have also been published on many renowned books and magazines in China, including China Oil Paintings, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, Art Circle, etc. For more than ten years, he has been devoted to seeking and cultivating talented artists. He has dabbled in many art-related fields such as oil painting, Chinese painting, calligraphy, abstract art, photography and poetry, and has created a large collection of works.
