1976年出生于山东省临淄。1999年毕业于中央民族大学美术系中国画专业，2003年毕业于中央民族大学美术学院中国画系人物研究工作室，硕士研究生。受聘任教于北京服装学院、中央民族大学图像与艺术研究所、北京城市学院、北京联合大学等多所高校。职业画家，插图艺术家，为《中国国家地理》、《中华遗产》、《高尔夫》、《企业中粮》主笔插图。2004年7月，中央电视台国际频道“东方时尚”节目专访其“水墨人生”;2005年1月，作品及介绍入编《中国艺术地理丛书——燕赵艺术地理》;2010年获得“和谐中国2010年度杰出艺术成就”奖。多幅作品被中外收藏家及机构收藏。

　　Born in 1976 in Zibo City, Shandong Province, Yu Jidong graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Minzu University of China in 1999, with a major in Chinese Painting. He continued his studies and in 2003 graduated from the Figure Study Studio of Department of Chinese Painting of School of Fine Arts of Minzu University of China in 2003, where he earned a master degree. His experience has permitted him to teach in many prestigious universities, including the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, the Art and Image Institute of Minzu University of China, Beijing City University, Beijing Union University, and other notable educational facilities. As a professional painter and illustrator he has accomplished many major illustration project for a variety of nationally recognized magazines such as Chinese National Geography, Chinese Heritage, Golf and Enterprise Zhongliang, and others. In July, 2004, CCTV’s International Channel program, the “Eastern Fashion,” aired a special interview named “A Life of Ink and Wash,” to highlight his talents. In January, 2005, his works were compiled into the Chinese Artistic Geography: Yan and Zhao Artistic Geography. His most recent achievements include winning the “Harmonious China 2010 Prominent Artistic Achievement” Prize and many of his works continue to be sought by Chinese and foreign collectors and institutions.
