当世智者、大禅师。先后出主两浙名蓝(奉化雪窦寺、天目山禅源寺)、辽北二寺(调兵山明月禅寺、辽阳广佑寺)丈席。曾任九华山全山唯一十方丛林——祇园禅寺首座兼九华山佛学院研究生导师，中国佛教协会第六届代表大会理事。现任中华禅画院院长。

　　屡承恩师、已故中国佛教协会会长赵朴初居士惠注勖勉，乃秉朴老慈命，邀集海内外禅林艺苑名宿成立中华禅画院，上人任院长。而以孜兀穷年之功，操持禅画之道，其书其画无非心源体相之写照，是以朴老誉之为“颉颃龙眠”!已故国学大师季羡林翁以石涛评八大山人之语“眼高百代古无比，书法画法前人前”题赠上人!

　　Wiseman in the present world. A great Zen Master. Has ever been the host of two famous temples in Zhejiang Province (Fenghua Xuedou Temple and Tianmu Mountain Zen Origin Temple) and two temples in the north of Liaoning Province (Diaobing Mountain Bright Moon Zen Temple and Liaoyang Guangyou Temple). Has been graduate tutor in Qiyuan Zen Temple, which is also the University of Buddhism on Jiuhua Mountain. Counselor for the 6th congress of China Buddhists Association. Director of China Zen Painting Academy.

　　As a student of Mr Zhao Puchu, former Chairman of China Buddhists Association, who has passed away, he invited Chinese and overseas Zen masters and important calligraphers and painters to come together and successfully established the China Zen Painting Academy. He became the Director of the academy and has been tirelessly working on the inheritance and promotion of Zen Art for many years. Mr Zhao’s comment for his calligraphy and painting has been that they seemed to be “Sleeping Dragons”! Mr Ji Xianlin, the Master of Sinology, has given him a sentence as a comment—“Unprecedented in art views, and impassable in painting and calligraphic techniques!”
