字澄怀，出生于1961年，江苏宜兴人，大学学历。师承黄秋园、卢禹舜先生，尚儒、崇道、敬佛，现任中国国图画院副院长、山水创作室主任，《中国书画名家》杂志社副主编。作品被国内外多家机构收藏，其国画作品注重传统文脉，力求创新，贵在文墨兼得。若唯笔墨而失文脉，则道心无以得生，若唯文脉而失笔墨，则流于俗情。其“溪山有道”系列作品，是以高、深、平三远法全景式的融合，对道家“道法自然”的阐释，有儒家济世精神，有释家平等悲悯的情怀。

　　Zong Chan’s style name is Cheng Huai. He was born in 1961 in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province and has received his college degree. He practiced painting following Huang Qiuyuan and Lu Yushun and worships Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism. His experience includes serving as the Vice Director of the China National Painting Academy, the Director of Landscape Studio and working as an Associate Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Famous Calligraphers and Painters magazine. His works have been collected by many institutes within and outside of China. Innovative elements and traditional idiosyncrasies coexist in his Chinese paintings, resulting in the perfect integration of literary and artistic components. Paintings without literary elements are not capable of setting up inner Dao, while literature without artistic form might fall into the pit of vulgarity. His series of works entitled “Pathway in Streaming Hills” is a perfect panoramic fusion of the height, depth and width of the landscape, which movingly interprets “design with nature” in Daoism, crowning the spirit of benefiting all mankind in Confucianism and the wide bosom of compassion for all creatures found in Buddhism.
