On the evening of December 9, Beijing Poly 2011 autumn art auction skyrocketed with turnover of 49.2 billion. So far, the total turnover of Beijing Poly Auctioneer became the top 1 in the whole autumn auction of Chinese art all over the world. In this fall sale, Xu Beihong’s masterpiece “Cultivation on the peaceful land" fetched 266.8 million yuan, and refreshed the auction world record. What is more, Qianlong’s round imperial seal "Overlord Emperor" reached 161 million yuan, and refresh the auction record of imperial jade seal and white jade. At the same time, there were 83 lots was sold over ten million each.

On Dec 5th,an excellent painting by Xu Beihong showed up in Poly night sale and witnessed a fierce bidding turns, hammering at 266,800,000 with premium included, topping Xu's works auction record. This painting was drew in 1951 and according to Ms Li Simo, this piece of work merits attention and sold at reasonable price.

An Imperial Seal Refreshed Auction Record

On Dec 6th, 2011 autumn sales, an imperial seal “Overlord Emperor” was hammered at RMB 161 million, refreshing world record of both imperial seal and jades. Another seal dated Dao Guang (1831) was sold at RMB 90.85 million. An couple of imperial jade seals also were sold at 43.125 million.

Wu Guanzhong Important Paintings Sale Realized Total Turnover of 280 Million Yuan

After the last two Wu Guanzhong’s paintings special auctions in last autumn sale and this spring sale, Beijing Poly held Wu Guanzhong works auction again in this golden autumn. On the December 3, 30 masterpieces of Wu Guanzhong fetched turnover of 280 million yuan. The modern and contemporary art auction traded with total turnover of 660 million yuan.

Ancient calligraphy and painting of this autumn sale in Poly is much more stable, and a total turnover of 550 million. Especially on the evening of December 5, the two night sale of ancient paintings attracted the attention of collectors. The total turnover realized 209 million yuan.

Jewelry and Watch Auction reached total turnover of 210 million yuan

As for jewelry sale, there are four lots were sold more than ten million each and both of them are jade. The total turnover of jewelry auction reached 157 million yuan. In addition, luxury watches were sold a total of more than 57,000,000 yuan.

In this Poly Autumn Auction, the first shot of the stamp, bronze mirror and coin auction played a firm role in the market, and the total turnover is 89 million yuan.
