Ever y painting that intrigues me varies from one to another. They were created according to their corresponding theme with the integration of Chinese ink and watercolor. Sharing the same aim, these paintings display in real life modernity, diversity, ingenuity and fascination.
I firmly hold that paintings, with the fast-paced economic and social development, are increasingly becoming an indispensable part of our lives. Confronted with such an immense pressure, the artists endowed with forward-thinking capabilities should by no means neglect their roles of producing desirable works for the appreciators.
Picasso once claimed, “Although they are elusive sometimes, paintings make an unbelievable difference when they move people.” His point has a huge positive impact on me and provides me a profound insight on how to define the art of painting, instructing me to paint.
Works by Vincent Willem van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Rouault, Mauficede Vlaminck and Edouard Vuillard have been so touching to me that their entrancing power has a far-reaching influence on me. Their creations told me, “Painting is a soundless language.”
The Integration style of today’s Chinese painting leads me well to the path of discovering its artistic values and uniqueness, which represents the present field of the art. Chinese paintings, a category with both modernity and tradition, have been developing from the ancient times with changing novel ideas. In my paintings, however, I am striving to illustrate the privileged lifeblood of mankind’s spiritual world by applying the changeability and glamour of the painting brush, ink and color.
My paintings are a combination of the concrete and the abstract images which provides room for the appreciators to apperceive the implicit function.
I am inclined to find the most appropriate manner of painting in these works. The element that comes first is the sense of the times which reveals the contemporary values of the society. Resorting to my own manner of artistic production in its forms and techniques I will use my imagination and creativity to bring a new life to the paintings. Personally, I deem the modern Chinese painting as the unique combination style of the art.
Painters are able to recognize the beauty in life, which goes far beyond the realistic world. They transplant these elements into their works and the appreciators’ wildest imaginations are entirely aroused.
Creation, with the exclusion of copycats and imitations, best defines what art is. Once you have set out your goal, be resolute in your life-time pursuit.
I tend to absorb essence from Chinese ancient Painted-Pottery Culture and stone reliefs on tombs or shrines in Han Dynasty. Moreover, I am more enthusiastic over the grottos of Yuan Dynasty, wall paintings in Taoist temples, Mo Kao Grotto at Dunhuang and the Yongle Palace in Shanxi. All these treasures from our country are considered as the invaluable cultural heritage of the world.
Creativity in artistic production and ground-breaking in art showcase in full the productive passion, digging their ways into the contemporary estheticism. During different times, artistic conception and creation are bound together through the crashes between the east and the west and those of the classical and the modern. These spiritually magical pieces have been composed by the updating in the historical space, deeply rooted into mankind’s ideology.
We can find various kinds of paths of success in art. Nevertheless, only those who are determined to make every endeavor to pursue their goals can harvest the most coveted result.
