Tiffany & Co. Looks for the Meaning of Love in Soho Street Art Installation

2012-07-27 09:01:02 未知

The mural on the hoarding that surrounds the storefront located at 97 Greene Street in New York isn’t the work of a fly-by street artist who bombed the bare wood surface in the middle of the night. It’s actually part of a collaboration between Tiffany & Co. and four artists the iconic jeweler commissioned to interpret the meaning of true love.

Each artist will display his or her creation for two weeks at the location, the future home of a Tiffany & Co. store. Danielle Dimston kicked off the series on July 16 with a whimsical piece incorporating text and drawings. On July 27, Ellis Gallagher will brighten up the space with raindrop characters based on the ancient Greek definition of love. Following Gallagher, Igor + André’s Danny Roberts will put his vision on the walls. Natasha Law will wrap up the installation, we presume with her feminine silhouettes, just in time for New York Fashion Week.

Expect to see a lot of Tiffany blue on the hoarding if you walk by in the next few weeks before it comes down when the shop opens on August 27.
