Asia Profile: Uli Sigg, former Swiss envoy and Chinese art collector

Uli Sigg is a Swiss businessman and former ambassador to China who's known as one of the world's foremost international collectors of Chinese contemporary art.
He began acquiring artwork in the 1990s, and since then he's amassed a collection of more than two thousand two hundred pieces by 350 artists. and he's also been the subject of a hyper-real sculpture by the Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei.
Now Uli Sigg has agreed to donate more than a thousand pieces from his collection, valued at more than a 160 million dollars to Hong Kong's M+ museum.
But before that, the collection will go on show in Sydney and Canberra as part of the Go Figure! exhibition put together by the National Portrait Gallery and Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation.
