Lehmann Maupin is to open in Hong Kong at the Pedder Building, which is already home to such heavy hitters as Gagosian, Pearl Lam, Simon Lee, Ben Brown, and pioneer of the Chinese contemporary art scene, Hanart TZ. Lehmann Maupin will hold its inaugural Hong Kong exhibition in early spring of 2013 with a solo show by one of its Asian artists.

Founding partners Rachel Lehmann and David Maupin feel that the expansion to Asia “is a natural decision” to strengthen their network of artists, curators and collectors in the region and provide “more localized support” to artists.
