Milwaukee Art Museum Appoints Lisa J. Sutcliffe as Curator of Photography

The Milwaukee Art Museum has hired Lisa J. Sutcliffe as curator of photography, reports the Journal Sentinel. Sutcliffe has previously served as the assistant curator of photography at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She also served as assistant curator for the a retrospective of Rineke Dijkstra, organized with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum this year. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history form Wellesley College and a master’s in art history from Boston University.
