The Denver Post has reported that the Denver Art Museum’s longtime board chairman, Frederic C. Hamilton, has decided to step down. His cochair for the past eighteen months, J. Landis Martin, will take over to lead the board. Hamilton has been a major contributor to the museum over the past years, notably giving $20 million for construction of the museum’s 146,000-square-foot addition in 2006. A director of Halliburton and Apartment Investment Management Company among other companies, as well as former CEO of Titanium Metals Corporation, Martin was responsible for giving $5 million in 2006 to fund the pedestrian area outside the museum.
