South-east London dealer shuts up shop

This year’s London Art Fair, which closed 20 January, was the last for the south-east London gallerist Poppy Sebire, who is shutting up shop. Sebire began dealing under her own steam only four years ago and says that while the experience has been “fabulous”, she is now in discussions about a new role elsewhere.
She is helping to find alternative representation for the gallery’s nine artists, including Georgie Hopton, whose solo project Sebire showed at the London Art Fair.
Taking over her Copperfield Street space, around the corner from Tate Modern and the Jerwood Space, is Ceri Hand, the Liverpool dealer who moved to London last July. Her opening show will be of work by the two-artist group Juneau Projects (22 February-23 March).
