The art dealer was accused of selling a Roy Lichtenstein painting belonging to Jan Cowles—a prominent collector—without her permission, prompting the litigation between both parties. The settlement is confidential and no terms were disclosed, except that the painting will remain in the possession of the man who purchased it from Gagosian—Thompson Dean, a managing partner of a private equity firm.
