Toyo Ito has been awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Ito’s practice has built libraries, houses, parks, theatres, shops, office buildings and pavilions (including the Serpentine’s summer pavilion in 2002) internationally (a selection can be seen in the slideshow above). The award ceremony will take place in May, in Boston, where Ito will be rewarded £62,000.
