Steve Cohen has purchased Picasso’s 1932 portrait of his mistress for $155 million from the Las Vegas casino mogul, Steve Wynn, reports the New York Magazine. This is the highest price ever paid by a US collector for an artwork. Wynn had planned to sell Cohen the work back in 2006 but infamously tore a hole in it with his elbow the day before the sale closed.
