2013-04-15 08:52:51 未知
Running from April 30-May 2 at the Agricultural Exhibition Center of China, Art Beijing 2013 will be anything but a small affair, covering 20,000 square meters of exhibition space. Split up into “contemporary” and “classic” sections, Art Beijing will be packed with work from 200 art galleries, agencies, and media sources from China and abroad.
Works on show will run the gamut from Chinese calligraphy and oil painting to engravings, sculpture, installations, photography, video art, antiques, furniture and jewelry.
Itself divided up into “Classic Chinese” and “Classic Western” sections, the classic section will feature a revamped layout and even wider range of artworks, ranging from traditional Chinese ink painting to porcelain, and Western works from the 18th and 19th centuries, Russian paintings, and antique furniture. Other (non-Chinese) Asian art will also be on show in the “Art Breakthrough” exhibition, which brings together work by artists chosen by leading art galleries in Japan and South Korea. Also returning this year will be the popular photography exhibition, auction preview exhibition, art platform, VIP education forum and art philanthropy programs.
