Beau Rutland Appointed Assistant Curator at Cleveland Museum

The Cleveland Museum of Art has announced the appointment of Beau Rutland as its new assistant curator of contemporary art, reports Steven Litt of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. An independent curator and writer, Rutland served as a curatorial assistant at the Whitney Museum of Art from 2010 to 2011. This year he received his MA in critical and curatorial studies of modern art from Columbia University and received his BA in art history and architecture studies from New York University in 2010. Rutland in his new role will plan exhibitions at the museum’s satellite location, the Transformer Station, Ohio City, as well as at the museum’s permanent collection galleries.
