A Kate Moss specialist art auction at Christie's from the Collection of Gert Elfering which attracted worldwide attention and admiration has brought in a total of£1,665,500/ $2,663,135/ € 1,973,618 selling 48 lots out of 58 offered.

From the announcement of the auction through to the pre-sale exhibition and sale itself. Gert Elfering’s unique and visionary concept of this sale – a celebration of the great modern muse Kate Moss – presented the work of a range of photographers, several featuring for the first time at auction, and explored spectacular formats unfamiliar to the market. While the top prices were achieved by established artists, many notably strong results and record prices for the artist were secured for works by younger talents including Chris Levine, Mert & Marcus, and David Sims. The sale has provided an exceptional testament to Kate Moss, as the greatest icon of style of the modern age.  Christie’s are delighted by the response of existing and new clients to this event, and by the scale of the global media coverage which it has attracted.

Highlights of the sale were, Pop artist Allen Jones' sculpture A Model Model 2013 which realised £133,875. Chris Levines She's Light (Laser 3) £115,000 plus premium a world record for the artist, Irving Penn's 'Hand On Thigh' photo £61,185
