SINGAPORE WRITERS FESTIVAL 2013. Features the participation of more than 190 Singapore and international writers, including Mohsin Hamid, A C Grayling, Carol Ann Duffy, Gao Xingjian and Tracy Hickman, under the theme Utopia/Dystopia. DICK LEE: IMPERFECT MEMORIES. Singapore’s music icon has an ongoing exhibition comprising 24 works divided into two series: Flower and Flag. The former draws from his recollection of fabric shops, while the latter looks at the concept of nationhood. Until Nov 16, 9.30am to 6pm, Galerie Belvedere, Capital Tower, 168 Robinson Road #36-01. GHOST: THE BODY AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. A group exhibition as part of the Singapore Biennale looks at how representations of the body reflect cultural movements in Singapore. MUSASHI. Legendary director Yukio Ninagawa’s production about two bloodthirsty samurai and their final showdown. Stars Japanese actors Tatsuya Fujiwara and Junpei Mizobata. THE MERCHANTS OF BOLLYWOOD. The theatrical dance spectacular about Bollywood is back in Singapore to reveal the workings of cinema and the essence of India in technicolour brilliance. ROMANCE OF MISTAKES. Paper Monkey Theatre celebrates is fifth anniversary with this pantomime adaptation of a classic Beijing opera show about a rich young maiden who falls in love with a scholar during the Flower Festival. COSMO: THE CONSTANT SELF-RECORDING MODE. An exhibition comprising photographs, videos and installation, among others, looking in literal and metaphorical ways the theme of “constant self-recording mode”, which was first used by Gilles Massot.
