Portrait has never been considered as an easy way to express the emotion of artists; however, a delicate-looking lady committed herself in undertaking this challenge.

　　I have been her friend for a long time and know as a female artist, she possesses the advantage on using colors. She could have picked landscape or still life to easily unleash her talent. In the past few years, I’m deeply impressed by series of her works on female characters such as Women with Bound Feet, Youth, dialogue and many more. Women, who come from different eras or hold different identities, are presented illusively with a bit of romantic approach. This is the reveal of her optimistic attitude and opinions on changes of society, growth of female, and evolvement of life.

　　She realizes clearly that it is not a easy path she’s chosen, but still persist and strive forward. With these traits, great improvement can be expected in a long tern, and that is why I’m not too criticized on her painting techniques. Her characters are reflected by the ladies in her paintings, thus make all her series gorgeous and meaningful. I shall say she deserve congratulation.
