As the trusted longtime muse of Karl Lagerfeld, Lady Amanda Harlech knows a thing or two about style. For her latest project, the creative consultant, stylist and writer has joined forces with cult London-based jewelry designer Dominic Jones on a jewelry line,Harlot & Bones.

Known for his sculptural punk-edged designs, Jones, who boasts 'It' girl Alice Dellal as his business partner as well as Beyoncé, RihannaandFlorence Welch among his celebrity fans, has enjoyed a meteoric rise since debuting in 2009 with his ʻTooth and Nailʼ collection.

Inspired by Edwardian mourning jewelry — alongside art, natural forms and defences as sub-themes — many of the pieces in the Harlot & Bones collection carry a covert functionality inspired by antique designs, like the signet poison rings, embossed locket pendants, and cuffs fitted with hinged seams that reveal concealed compartments. For those who like to refresh their scent on the trot, there’s also a necklace in the form of a screw-top jeweled perfume bottle.

A sense of history and symbolism pervades the line, with beetle-wing motif shields recalling family heirlooms symbolic of protection. The materials — aged silver, turquoise, marcasite and onyx — remain faithful to the Edwardian theme.

The designs will be unveiled at a private event at Colette in Paris on Saturday, with just one collection to be released each year.
