对年逾八十的老人而言罗卫民实在年轻。感觉他年轻更由于他充满活力、热情奔放、凡事积极能干、动作麻利。他谈吐诙谐风趣，脸上还不时带着点顽童的笑容，讨人喜欢。

　　然而他已是一名成熟的企业经理和有见识的设计师!出色的外交能力和慷慨的风度使他在事业上一帆风顺，正经时有一付成功人士的派头。

　　这一切还不足以让我动笔为他写文章，令人诧异的是他竟然是一名画家!确实画了不少油画和速写，还发表过笔墨简练的国画，是个多才多艺的小伙子，这下子令我不得不写上几句了。

　　近来我发现了不少隐匿的画家，特别在建筑、装饰和服装行业里，有的已经是很成功的老板和设计师，他们的才能会表现在各个方面。但是心中却有一种强烈的自我表现的渴望：那就是艺术!因为这是种无止境的追求，只适合少数勇敢的探索者、美的艺术FINEARTS领域的冒险家。罗卫民就是其中突出的一员。

　　认识罗卫民是三两年前的事：那是一次在印度的漫游中，他的速写灵动而精准的线条刻划出复杂多变的建筑群和生动的人物着实令人吃惊!后来才知道他画了很多油画。乍看之下：那是发自内心的呼喊!在彩色的世界里他不需要控制自己，任其自由奔驰。因为我们知道形体是理性的，而色彩则是偏重于感情和情绪的。罗卫民的热情奔放在他的油画中表露无遗!你几乎不见形体只见一团火焰似的绚丽色彩。你很难把它归类，介乎抽象和表现主义的东西。画面是美丽的，色彩没有表现主义那种悲沧感，是欢乐的。

　　近年来罗卫民不断在探索，在进步!他正在寻找自己的定位：不停地走出国门，在世界各地漫步，去探索艺术的渊源，拜读大师们的作品，更新自我的创意。他新画了不少世界各地的风景人物，作品逐步趋向成熟。现在我看到了他这批作品：形体和色彩已和谐地溶为一体，画面清晰了。奔放的笔触和绚丽的色彩交错!乃不失罗卫民的气质。过去有人评论罗卫民的画是狂野的!现在我有些不同意了：罗卫民的画虽然有些野性，但还是有条理的。

　　很高兴知道罗卫民要出画册了，这也是他多年来想做的事。他将把他近年来辛勤积累的作品公诸于世了!以一个画家的身份出头露面了!

　　我多次听罗卫民说：要摆脱繁琐的事业物专心画画做个名符其实的画家。让我们大家期待这位脱颖而出的画家罗卫民吧!

　　Congratulations to Luo Wei-Min’s first art collection

　　----A lovely boy in my eyes

　　To an eighty-years-old man, Luo Wei-Min is really young. I think he is such young because he is so active, full of energy and passion. Sometimes he smiles like a child.

　　However, he is also a mature manager of corporation and a designer with great idea. With his good social ability and generous manner, Luo does well in his career and becomes a successful man.

　　Not only these makes me write this article for him, but also an amazing thing happens that he is even an artist! Luo definitely draws a lot of oil paintings and sketches, even Chinese painting with style of simplicity. His versatility encourages me to write words more about him.

　　Recently, I find that there are many artists who are hiding in other industries, especially in architecture, designing and fashion. Some are really successful business and designers, who have talents in various fields. But they have a strong desire to express themselves: that is art! Because this is a kind of endless pursuing of arts, it only belongs to few brave explorer and adventurer in fine arts. Luo is obviously one of them.

　　The first I met Luo was in three years ago: during our trip in India, his inspired sketches which accurately depicted complex buildings and various people were really astonishing. Later I know that he draws oil painting. His works give a feeling of shouting from the depth of his heart! He does not need to control himself in the world of art and let the inspiration release freely. We know that the shape is rational but colors are emotional. Luo’s enthusiasm is totally released in his paintings because you can hardly see a shape but fantastic colors that are just like flame. You cannot even classify his work since they are between abstract and expressionism. The paintings are beautiful and the colors are joyous without the sadness in expressionism.

　　Now Luo is keep exploring, improving and finding his own position. He continues to go to different countries and keep creating new works by appreciating masters’ works. He draws many oil paintings of landscape and people from all over the world. His works become more mature. I have already seen his recent works: the shape and colors harmoniously merge together and the brushwork is more expressive and unrestrained. Some people commented Luo’s work that they are too wild. Now I disagree with it because although his paintings are wild, they still have orderliness inside.

　　I am very glad to hear that Luo publish his art collection that he has been thinking of doing for years. Now he can show his works! I have heard from him for a lot of times that he wants get rid of complicated job and be a real artist. Let us welcome this fresh and outstanding artist – Luo!
