Sometime in 2015, the French artist JR will publish a book with legendary comic book artist Art Spiegelman, author of the renowned graphic novel Maus.

The book is part of JR’s latest project on Ellis Island, which was the subject of a recent story in The New York Times and has been the subject of much of JR’s Instagram feed for the past few days, which is where he announced the collaboration.

JR’s studio director, Marc Azoulay, was tight-lipped about the project, except to say that that it was about Ellis Island and “not a comic book” but “an art book.”
