STOCKHOLM.- To further promote contemporary art, Bonniers Konsthall is introducing free admission to all exhibitions when reopening its doors on February 4th 2015.

Since its launch in 2006, Bonniers Konsthall has exhibited the most recent art to a broad public. The driving concept has been to work to increase the general public’s interest in contemporary art. In order to make the art space even more accessible, Bonniers Konsthall has opted to offer free admission from February 4th, when this spring’s large-scale exhibition – City Walks – opens.

By offering free admission, the museum hopes that even more of the general public finds their way to our exhibitions and ventures into the world of contemporary art. Free admission enables visitors to return time and again to the same exhibition and to experience art at their own pace. In order to make the art space that much more accessible to the public, we will be investing in more guided tours and exhibition staff, who will be on hand to educate visitors on the works of art. Bonniers Konsthall aims to be a welcoming space where everyone is invited to view and discuss art.

Bonniers Konsthall‘s mission is grounded in the desire to support artistic work and contribute to the community by educating the public on contemporary art. The majority of our programme is devoted to producing our own exhibitions, both themed group exhibitions that places the art in a wider cultural context, as well as presenting individual artists, thereby providing an accessible platform for new artwork.

Bonniers Konsthall was opened by the Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation, which was founded in 1985 by Jeanette Bonnier in memory of her daughter Maria. It is a privately run, not-for-profit organization, and is supported by the Bonnier Corporation.
