与王秀章先生相识是十多年前，对他的另眼相看并不是因为他在创作早期就一度功成名就，而是因为他的一幅作品《华夏魂》深深触动了我，让我欲罢不能，促使对他进行一番深度审视。

　　两年前筹办珠海龙禧博物馆，我们提出的办馆宗旨是：集中国历代古文明瑰宝，展华夏五千年灿烂文化。而《华夏魂》在一块平面画布上，采用几乎同一种凝重色彩，立体表现从红山文化自夏商周至中华人民共和国成立五千年间历朝历代涌现之英雄豪杰，整个画面大气恢弘、浑雄沉重，令人产生一种对中华民族历史的极度神往，这就是王秀章作品传达的独特的艺术魅力，无限诱人而又致人无法遏制。于是，《华夏魂》自然而然成为龙禧博物馆的馆藏代表作品之一。

　　在中国当代油画家阵容中，王秀章无疑是最为另类的一个代表。他居珠海二十余年，创作、学习、举办画展，马不停蹄，用他另类的画笔既传承中华文化，又吸取西方文化的营养，进行中西文化的交流融合，在创作上大胆探索，形成独创的“立体油画”，呈现了一种全新的艺术形态，令人耳目一新。

　　他的仕女、兵马俑系列，女人体系列，窗花系列，每一幅作品在恬淡而诱人的画面里表现出强烈的生命能量，乃至于每幅作品都呈现出生命的动感，被国外藏家所至爱，甚至有的藏家把拥有王秀章的作品作为一种嗜好与享受，因此着迷而苦苦寻觅。以色列驻法国使馆的一名武官曾经为收藏王秀章的一幅作品变卖房产，终于如愿以偿。

　　王秀章的作品在欧洲、东南亚受到热烈追捧，被收藏三百余幅，形成一个庞大的收藏群体，大大地出乎我的意料。在国内，这些年他的作品也逐渐被藏家认同，成为极具增值潜力的艺术品。如今，但凡有作品问世，就被藏家一抢而光，有的甚至还在创作当中即被订购。

　　其实王秀章的“另类”来自于他唯美的主张和难以复制的艺术追求，这恐怕是其作品深受藏家喜爱的关键。

　　在作品题材的选择上，王秀章一般锁定于“国粹”，无论是秦俑，还是仕女，窗花还是人体，都体现着东方民族的神秘，东方文化的精髓和唯美的元素。哪怕随手拈来的小品静物，也是浸透着东方民族民风民俗文化的唯美韵味。在表现手法上，王秀章更是别无二致，呈现无法复制的唯美。他的作品，看似一幅油画，触似一尊雕塑，感似一个情景，创作过程复杂而苛刻。如窗花系列，其装置采用的窗花系原汁原味、古老而赋有传统美感的木雕，那些千寻百觅而得，来自于明清或民国时期的古董已不仅仅是作品的附属和点缀，更是一件难得的艺术精品，难怪会令藏家趋之若鹜，爱不释手。
