Seattle Art Fair, presented by AIG, shares exhibitor highlights, along with specific times of performances in its Projects and Talks program for its second edition, running August 4-7 at CenturyLink Field Event Center. The Seattle Art Fair 2016, co-produced by Paul G. Allen’s Vulcan Inc. and Art Market Productions, features over 80 exhibitors.

“The second edition of the Seattle Art Fair will see some of the most important artists in the world, represented by the most highly regarded galleries working today,” said Max Fishko, Seattle Art Fair director and managing partner of Art Market Productions. “We are excited to mount an exhibition as unique, diverse, and beautiful as the city itself.”

The Seattle Art Fair has established itself as a boutique fair where collectors can acquire some of the best art in the world in an intimate setting, and is an essential destination on the art world calendar. The 2016 fair includes some of the most prestigious galleries worldwide, from such cities as Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Paris, Cologne, Seoul, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, and beyond.

Following are select examples: David Zwirner, New York, presents drawing by R. Crumb, painting by Suzan Frecon, and sculpture by Donald Judd and Sherrie Levine, among other works. Other Criteria, New York and London, launched a Damien Hirst limited edition of two new hand-painted porcelain sculptures, Myth and Legend. Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York, presents sculpture by Bernar Venet and Ivan Navarro, painting by Robert Motherwell and Mark Ryden, and a maquette by Roxy Paine. Petzel Gallery, New York, features sculpture by Keith Edmier, drawings by Allan McCollum and Hiroki Tsukuda, and painting by Sean Landers. G. Gibson Gallery, Seattle, offers photography by Lee Friedlander and Julie Blackmon, work on paper by Gala Bent, and painting by Susanna Bluhm and Robert C. Jones. Mariane Ibrahim Gallery, Seattle, presents a large-scale installation by Clay Apenouvon. SCAI THE BATHHOUSE, Tokyo, brings sculpture by Mariko Mori and Tatsuo Miyajima, and painting by Daisuke Ohba, Lee Ufan, and Toru Kamiya. Tomio Koyama Gallery, Tokyo, offers sculpture and painting by Kishio Suga, and painting by Shintaro Miyake and Satoshi Ohno.

Projects: The Seattle Art Fair Projects debuts a new series of special activities, performances, and installations to engage the fair’s public spaces, organized by Artistic Director Laura Fried.

On-site at the fair: An ambitious lineup of solo projects by an intergenerational group of emerging and established artists are on view at the CenturyLink Field Event Center during fair hours.
