Gagosian gallery's "Ed Ruscha Prints and Photographs," showcasing the artist's print works from over four decades and some rarely seen photographs since 1959, continues through September 9 in Beverly Hills.

Ruscha explored the concept of limited edition artwork though his printmaking using both traditional and unconventional materials. He started making lithographic editions back in the 60s, where he applied Pop and conceptual sensibilities of that time with wit and melancholy. His prints engage with a wide array of themes, from text and typography to still life and quotidian architecture, created through vivid experimentation.
