　　栗子作为唯一一位中国艺术家，受AACOO画廊邀请参加首届卢森堡国际艺术展，应邀参加的80家画廊都是经精心挑选的国际级画廊机构。栗子个人项目"160分贝"将在此次展会亮相, 展览从12月8号持续到11号，欢迎各位莅临现场参观。

　　Li Zi was the only one Chinese artist who was invited by AACOO to participate in the first Luxemburg ART FAIR, only 80 international galleries were allowed to take part. The Fair will continue from December 8th to 11, it will be her new personal project "160DB", we are honored to invite you to come to visit.

　　栗 子

　　尽管艺术家在努力挖掘现实中的各种不同的诱饵，但具象绘画并不是一种具体分析信息的语言，就像音乐的语言一样很难描述。是的，她强烈的想把绘画用材料来表达，就像康定斯基所定义的：“绘画所包容的恰恰就是绘画本身”。但她同时运用了自己的情感、欲望和排斥，运用一种身份，一些记忆和社会的纪实进而达到一种美妙的境界。

　　栗子的绘画离不开那情节错综的场景和聚焦，也包括了个人的故事又趋向于一种梦幻，且融合了现实中符号的痕迹以表达她自己的神话直至一种艺术语言的构思。这种艺术语言是在寻找一个逝去而又不断重新开始的神秘世界，一个带着忧伤、紧张，笼罩在虚幻、飘渺的隐秘色彩的天地，一个被几何图形和线条所框住的、有凶猛野兽出没的自然空间。

　　但在严谨的构图之外，她的画面里还有另外的丰富内容，那是沉浸在黄昏没有人烟的支离破碎的空间的印象，那是些脱离了时空概念的沉睡的古希腊雕塑，那是覆盖在孤立的高大建筑物表面的缠绕的植物，这种场景被黑灰的暗色戏剧化的表现得淋漓尽致，给我们带来某种禁闭和神秘的感觉。“我从来就喜欢感受神秘”，栗子给了我确认，“尤其我在拥有大面积森林的北欧这种感觉特别强烈。通过我旅行的照片或朋友拍摄的照片，我以自己的方式用一种完全区别于我国传统美学的观念重现创作来表达这种沉寂和荒凉。

　　尽管如此， 在参天树木林立、野兽出没的环境中，动物的突然出现或消失会很令人震惊。这种视觉像是定格一个窥视。事实上，在此没有哪一个画面是完整的一幅图案我们可以说是未完成的作品，而且从不命名，但保持着蓄意的朦胧。那大理石般光滑或表面剥离破碎的画面、那被一点点被吸收的流体留下的波纹营造了一个怪异的空间同时也表现了现实世界里的一些抽象。

　　然而，在画面中比小的人物肖像和重叠层面更有表现力的是那些斑驳的墙面、年久失修的房屋、带着光影的碎片、孤舟，抑或是幽灵般的影子，同时也是森林天然的巨大能量和那些愤怒猎豹的巡视给予了作品在不同意义上的处理。一方面，那些高大而又瘦骨嶙峋的参天大树以它们无声又充满来自地下的强大冲力框住和定位着画面，而那些野兽似乎要从不断膨胀破裂的大地里冲出，整个画面笼罩在一层流落而下的淡去的色彩之中又沉浸在一片不真实的光影里，时而从那些细泪般的瀑布中孕育出更多波纹的闪动。

　　但无论是哪个主题和哪一种技巧的采用都是画家自己的想象和意识。也就是说，用数学的线条、结构填充不规则的空间同时校对画面的节奏，几何的不同形状或三角或四边的立体空间，割断或连续的线条，重彩或清淡的勾略，是这些线条和结构让人们自己（观众）确定其距离和调解其矛盾的因素进而伸延出其强度和画面的协调。

　　画面中不同的区域，综合起来说，她对于结构掌握精确，笔触所欲、灵活自如，黑白色调重复运用的简洁、素描精准而确信，且激情表达适度。最终，画家的智慧表现在敢于取舍和伸缩的完美结合。

　　祖籍湖北武汉，现常驻北京。栗子是数千年文化的继承人。她却并没有禁锢在传统文化的刻板之中，她摒弃了那些陈词滥调，同时也没有随波逐流地跳跃到另一个时髦的极端。她选定自己的主题，以自己对综合材料的独特品味和技能，走出了一条属于自己的艺术之路。如果说在她的艺术中能看到西方当代艺术的趋向，那只是为了突出她的创作优势。这巧妙而又细微皆见的、爽朗的创作，呈现出一个的与众不同的，不可多得的特别艺术家。

　　If the objective of figurative painting is to explore the artificial lures of reality, it yet cannot be reduced to a merely analytical message, and just like music, it cannot be related.

　　Certainly, its materiality prevails, as to refer to Kandinsky's formula, "the content of painting is painting", but it simultaneously conveys affections, desires and rejections, an identity, a memory, sometimes a relation to social and wonder.

　　Li Zi's paintings cannot elude such fabric of intrigues and convergences, and they are often characterized by fragments of personal history and a disposition to reverie. The real and the symbolic merge within the same furrow, as her mythology converts ideas into language. Such language, in search of a lost world that is constantly restarted, conjures up a phantasmagoria tinted with a tense melancholy, where the ferocity of the animal kingdom is confronted to a wooded nature and enclosed within perimeters delimited by linear geometrical contours.

　　A crepuscular impression pervades the fragmented spaces, untouched by human beings, beyond the structural rigor that composes the various parts of the painting. From time to time, a sleepy antique statue or an isolated building fa?ade, covered with vegetation and emphasized by the impact of non-colors, leaves us with a sense of mystery and confinement. "I always liked to feel the mystery, states Li Zi, that permeates the great forests characteristic of northern Europe, silent and inhospitable. Inspired by photographs, taken by me or my friends, I then interpret it according to my own vision, without any submission to the traditional aesthetic of my country ".

　　However, what strikes at first in this wild bestiary surrounded by tall trees, is the appearance/disappearance of animals, a truncated vision, fleetingly determined. Indeed, here, few images are intact, or they are rather unfinished, thus they never define, cultivating a studied blur, marbled and cracked surfaces which the fluid and undulating matter gradually absorbs, in a strange universe that also plays with the part of abstraction contained in every reality.

　　However, more than the medallion-shaped or superimposed portraits, the crumbling walls or the tired houses, the bright enclaves, the solitary boats or ghostly shadows, it is both the immanent power of the woods and the watch of the angry leopards that gives body and meaning to such iconography, which changes according to the semantic process. On one hand, large bare trees occupy and outline the canvas edges, with the authority of their deaf ramifications and their terrestrial impetus, while the wild beasts seem to emerge by breaking through a pregnant gaseous land, coated with faded colors and painted of light brushstrokes within an unreal brightness. Other times, the referent is extracted from a more irridenscent gangue, speckled with a cascade of small tears.

　　However, whatever are the motifs and technical approaches chosen it is always the same procedure that guides the hand and the mind of the painter, that is to say, the use of an arithmetical feature to resolve any approximations and calibrate the rhythms of the composition. Fishbone or triangle, quadrilateral or obliquous, broken or continuous, charcoaled or untied, it the formula that suggests the distances and generates the compatibility between opposing tensions, engendering the power's scale.

　　Everything in these regions conjures up a synthesis: the mastering of the construction, the controlled ease of the spontaneous brushstroke, the sobriety in the distribution of black and white, the accuracy in the firmness of the drawing, the dosage in virulence of expression, and finally, the intelligence of painting, in the covenant of renunciation and abundance.

　　A native of Hubei Wuhan, living in Beijing, thus heir to an ancient culture, Li Zi doesn't is free from all the stereotypes of her cultural heritage, as she is from the latest trends of contemporary fashion. Proceding from her favorite subjects and her taste for mixed media, she has forged his own path, and if she has borrowed some elements to Western contemporary art it is only to benefit her practice. A subtle practice, nuanced and invigorating that reveals a rare and singular artist.
