　　SYMPOSIUM IN CONJUNCTION WITH 2019 EXHIBITION OF CONTEMPORARY CHINESE IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

　　美国当地时间2019年11月22日，周五下午1:00-5:30，由斯坦福大学斯坦福大学艺术与艺术史系、华东师范大学现当代艺术中心、Gallery Elite（美国）、上海墨登文化传播有限公司主办，王远文化艺术教育交流发展基金项目支持的“中国当代艺术美国旧金山湾区展览论坛研讨会”在斯坦福大学召开。

　　At 1:00-5:30 pm local time on 22, November, 2019, the Symposium on Contemporary Chinese Art in the San Francisco Bay Area was hosted in Stanford University. It was sponsored by Stanford Art & Art History Department, East China Normal University for Contemporary Art, Gallery Elite (US), and Shanghai Madden Culture Communication Co., Ltd and supported by Wang Yuan Culture and Art Education Exchange Development Fund.

　　此次在斯坦福大学的研讨会是配合“异动”展览的学术活动。展览以一批上海当代艺术中坚艺术家为主，兼及北京、广州等地的艺术家。他们大多是大学教师，但同时又与社会艺术圈保持密切的关系。在美国旧金山湾区活动，意在于营造异域现场，直接面对美国学院艺术的观念的差异，举办现场对话。

　　The symposium is held in conjunction with the group exhibition "Aliens," which mainly showcases the works of some prominent contemporary artists in Shanghai, with a small number from artists in Beijing and Guangzhou. Most of the artists are university teachers who maintain close relations with the social and artistic circles. With this event in the San Francisco Bay Area, we intend to bring Chinese art to the United States through a contrast with American art in concept and on-the-spot dialogues.

　　此次特邀参加活动的艺术家，其作品形式有油画、雕塑、水墨、影像、行为等。他们的年龄跨度从出生于40年代、50年代、60年代及70年代。从一个主剖面展现了30多年来中国当代艺术四代人探索历程的简影。

　　The artists participating in this event include oil and ink painters, sculptors, photographers, and performance artists. Born in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, they represent four generations of Chinese artists in the development of contemporary art.
