文廣个展《幻·观念》观后感

看了文廣的个展,不得不说,这是灰墙艺术一个比较有水准的展览,策展人汤浩先生撰写的策展寄语也很有水准,表现出很高的学术造诣,这令我这个学术主持倍感压力。
After looking around Wen Guang‘s solo exhibition, I have to say that this is a relatively standard exhibition of Graywalls Art. The curator’s message written by Mr. Jeff Tang is also of high standard and shows high academic attainments, which makes me feel pressure as an academic host.
文廣的艺术创作确实有很多可圈可点的地方,如策展人描写的那样,这个年轻艺术家一直在油画流派的突破和融合方面,进行着各种实验性的尝试,并已经取得了一些显著的成绩,所以他这两年的作品,会给大家带来新奇和独特的视觉感受。这是一场令人赏心悦目的展览。
Wen Guang‘s artistic creation does have many remarkable places. As described by the curator, this young artist has been making various experimental attempts in the breakthrough and integration of oil painting schools, and has made some remarkable achievements. Therefore, his works in the past two years will bring you novel and unique visual feelings. This is a pleasing exhibition.

对于这位极具开拓精神的年轻艺术家,这篇学术评论,我绝对不想采用通常的格式,进行一番创作风格的解读,我更希望把它写成一篇学术建议,用我的一些忠告,来帮助这位我很看好的年轻人尽早成为广受藏家喜爱的艺术大家。
For this pioneering young artist, I absolutely do not want to use the usual format to interpret his creative style. I prefer to write it as an academic suggestion and use some of my advice to help this young man become a popular and beloved master as soon as possible.

文廣毕业于中央美术学院的壁画系,正是这一专业的系统学习,给了他很多普通油画系学生所没有的学术特质,比如创作大尺幅作品时对画面空间、结构的有效使用和把握;比如在作品中叙述故事和表达观点的能力;再比如对哲学、宗教、艺术史更深入的理解和实践;等等。
Wen Guang graduated from the Mural Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. It is the systematic study of this major that gives him many academic characteristics that ordinary oil painting students do not have, such as the effective use and grasp of picture space and structure when creating large-scale works; the ability to tell stories and express opinions in works; and a deeper understanding and practice of philosophy, religion and art history; etc.

但在给与艺术家很高评价之余,我也想谈谈文廣目前艺术探索中不足的地方,当然这也是我的一家之言,希望对这位年轻的艺术家的未来发展有所帮助。如果大家往细处观察,文廣的写实功底其实是相当不错的,但我却认为这种能力被他选择的虚幻表现方式所掩盖,无法发挥出应有的优势。艺术史上,把表达认知、哲理和思想的不同时空的形象、符号,放进一个简单的二维空间,可以有很多种方式,比如达利的图形扭曲、毕加索的立体解析、米罗的符号和夏加尔的象征。所以,我非常期待文廣可以找到一种更清晰的表达方式,把传递自己观念所需的元素合理且美感地叠加在一起,而不用再进行梦幻般的雾化处理。雾化处理,或者叫梦幻处理,虽然解决了透视和空间安排方面可能存在的视觉突兀问题,但也让欣赏者很容易忽略作品中的细节,从而弱化他们读取作品背后故事的能力。

However, in addition to giving high praise to the artist, I also want to talk about the deficiencies in the current art exploration of Wen Guang. This is a viewpoint from my personal angle. I hope it will be helpful to the future development of this young artist. If you look closely, Wen Guang’s realistic painting skills are actually quite good, but I think this ability is covered up by his illusory way of expression and could not give full play to its due advantages. In the history of art, there are many ways to put the images and symbols of different time and space expressing cognition, philosophy and thought into a simple two-dimensional space, such as Dali‘s graphic distortion, Picasso’s stereoscopic interpretation, Milo‘s and Chagall’s symbols. Therefore, I very much hope that Wen Guang can find a clearer way of expression to reasonably and aesthetically stack the elements needed to convey his ideas without dreamy atomization. Atomization processing, or dream processing, although it solves the visual problems that may exist in perspective and spatial arrangement, it also makes it easy for viewers to ignore the details in the works, thus weakening their abilit to read the stories behind the works.

不过,文廣这次出展作品中以毛玻璃透视效果呈现的抽象作品,倒可以算作是他的独门创意,这种既体现画功又张扬时尚配色的作品,可以象加热的餐刀去切奶酪一般轻易地杀进市场。而这种类型的作品,如果直接采用数码创作的方式,则不仅可以进行多种配色的转换,把单一作品开发成波普系列,而且还可以进行声光电的二次创作,从而帮助艺术家轻松地迈进电子版权的更大发展空间。

Nevertheless, the abstract works presented by the perspective effect of ground glass in Wen Guang‘s works in this exhibition can be regarded as his unique creativity. This kind of works that not only embody painting skills but also publicize fashion color matching can easily enter the market like a heated knife to cut cheese. If this type of work directly adopts the way of digital creation, it can not only convert a variety of color matching and develop a single work into Pop Art series, but also carry out the secondary creation of sound, light and electricity works, so as to help artists easily move forward into a greater development space of electronic copyright.

综上所述,文廣身上具备了太多的可能性,他任何阶段实验性的创作,都会在他成名后成为里程碑式的代表作品,我个人认为,当前是对他建立密切关注并逐步进行系统收藏的最好时机。
To sum up, Wen Guang has too many possibilities. His experimental creation at any stage will become a landmark representative work after he becomes famous. Personally, I think it is the best time to pay close attention to him and gradually carry out systematic collection of his works.

文廣
1990年出生,当代艺术家。北京现代管理大学特聘教授,中国壁画学会会员,毕业于中央美术学院,工作生活于上海。文廣的作品追求艺术思想的深度挖掘,并主张创作要有“思想知觉化”的特征。他的油画创作常借时事新闻、科技、潮流文化、古代神话等形象,以隐喻和意象化的象征手段表达对现实社会的批判和反思。近年来,他参加过多场国内外重要展览,并于欧洲现代艺术博物馆获得“第十四届ARC国际艺术沙龙大赛奖”,作品被国内外多个重要机构和藏家收藏。
