　　画廊周北京是由当代艺术圈的专业资深人才组织搭建的一个具有文化凝聚力的当代艺术推广平台。在画廊周北京期间，机构与艺术家将合力呈现一年中最精彩的展览。画廊周北京将邀请全国艺术行业精英来北京感受拥有深厚文化积淀而又生气十足的中国当代艺术。观众可以充分体验并和每一件拥有不同气质的展览空间直接交流，更深刻地了解中国当代艺术的发展以及其成长的土壤。

　　新氧艺O2art将于2022年画廊周北京期间推出临时空间的特别项目：彭斯个展-“曜曜”。这是艺术家彭斯继人物肖像创作之外，蛰伏四年后新作的第一次亮相。

　　2018年之后，在武夷山驻地创作的经历，使彭斯从大家所熟知的对古典绘画领域的探索，从而转向以自身感知为主体的自由创作。脱离了对绘画史的关注而转向自然。置身于自然中，面对自然景物中的杂草、田埂、土壤，扑面而来的坚硬、柔软与张力，给了彭斯极大的震撼。自然物与绘画中隐匿的联系提示了艺术家，从此他开始借助自然的拐杖，希望能够倚靠自己身体与直觉的感知，并把这些感受诉诸画面。

　　无论是人物肖像，还是花草树木，都成为了艺术家“画”的载体，而不是画家所要真正传达的意义所在。新作中彭斯大胆地采用了他以往绘画中回避的鲜艳色彩，甚至荧光色，这些颜色在结构中形成强烈对比。他摒除了柔和的自然光，将理想中应呈现的炫目的光线、茂盛的景象、浓烈的情绪都投射于肖像面孔与意想的风景之中。和小尺寸敏感捕捉而富于变化的肖像相比，大尺幅的意向风景创作让他更加自由，在人物创作中无法解构的，更大胆的绘画语言，可以在想象的景观中纯粹的运用处理。在这些作品中，用色彩和笔触去表达节奏与密度，这是彭斯作为画家本身乐在其中的过程。

　　展览的主题《曜曜》更多的是呈现艺术家的一种状态，他画中的万物都生于笔下，饱含奔向太阳光辉的能量，提纯后的精神力量被画面集中的捕捉。

　　O2art will present “Luminary - Peng Si‘s Solo Exhibition” as a special project during Gallery Weekend Beijing 2022. It is a brilliant comeback show of Peng Si after 4 years of dedicated work besides his portrait works. After the artist-in-residence experience in Wuyi Mountain in 2018， Peng Si has turned from his well-known explorations of classic paintings to a more free creation based on his own perception， while shifting his focus from the history-of-painting to the nature. Looking at the weeds， ridges and soil in the natural scenes， he was amazed by their surging hardness， softness and tension. This hidden connection between nature and painting has inspired the artist. From then on he began to rely on the cane of nature， hoping to perceive by his own body and intuition， and turn these feelings into paintings.

　　Figures， flowers and trees all became the carriers of “painting” rather than what the artist really meant to convey. In his new works， Peng Si boldly adapted bright colors that he had previously avoided in his paintings， even the fluorescent ones， to create a strong contrast in structure. Instead of the soft natural light， he ideally projected dazzling light， lush scenes and intense emotions to the portrait faces and imaginary landscapes. Comparing with the sensitively expressed and varied portraits in small sizes， the large-scale imaginary landscapes allowed him more freedom， with a bolder style that entangles with the interpretation of imagination that cannot be carried out by portraits. In these works， using colours and brushstrokes to express rhythm and density is a process in which Peng Si enjoys himself as a painter.

　　“Luminary”， the theme of this exhibition， mainly presents the artist’s state. Everything in his paintings emerges from the paintbrush， full of the energy as rushing to the glory of the sun， with purified spiritual power altogether captured in the paintings.

​　　彭斯，1980年生于湖南衡阳，毕业于中央美术学院版画系，现工作生活于北京。

　　Peng Si was born in Hunan Provence in 1980. He graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts and now works and lives in Beijing.
