“造化之境”参展艺术家介绍③

　　索卡艺术荣幸推出2022年水墨群展 “造化之境”，展期自11月05日至11月27日。本次展览邀请在当代水墨领域颇具影响力的四位艺术家，丘挺、泰祥洲、曾健勇、和潘汶汛，展出艺术家最新创作的十七件作品。

　　索卡艺术将逐一介绍此次新展“造化之境”的四位参展艺术家。

曾健勇作品在“造化之境”展览现场

　　曾健勇主要以人物和风景为题材进行创作，阐述自然与空间的关系。他的作品以抽象的规则描绘具象的自然景观：不同维度的线条和形状相互重叠穿插，形成连续的无限空间，而这些空间的不断连接和重叠又构成了一幅完整的绘画。

　　Zeng Jianyong mainly uses figurative elements and natural landscapes as the theme for his artistic practice， to illustrate the relationship between environment and space. He depicts natural landscapes with abstract rules by using lines and shapes of different dimensions to intersperse with each other to form an infinite space， which was constantly connected and overlapped to form a complete work of art.

　　与西方艺术寻求新的突破不同，东方艺术的坚持在于其传承。通过研究学习中国水墨中的结构和规则，遵循从唐宋到明清的历史发展线索，曾健勇在传统山水画中提取出了一种基于书法的审美规则，用来观察，表达和体验自然。

　　Unlike Western art which always seeks breakthroughs， the persistence of Eastern art lies in its heritage. By studying the structure and rules of Chinese ink painting， Zeng Jianyong follows the historical development of traditional landscape painting through time， thus successfully extracting an aesthetic rule based on calligraphy to observe， express and experience nature.

　　此外，画面中存在大量“灰空间”概念的应用。观者在画作中一块块灰色的空间中漫游沉思，就像游人在古典园林中穿梭走动，移步换景。曾健勇的作品探索了水墨在空间中展开的可能性，并试图建立的与传统、与时代，以及与自身体验的三种联系。

　　Besides， there is a large amount of “grey space” in his paintings. The viewer looks at the grey spaces in the paintings just like a tourist walking through a classical Chinese garden， changing scenes at every step. Zeng Jianyong‘s works explore the possibility of unfolding ink painting in space， attempting to establish links between the tradition， the times， and his personal experience.

　　Zeng Jianyong

　　1971年出生于广东澄海，现生活工作于北京。早期作品以儿童肖像为主，跳脱水墨的传统主题，发展出个人独特的新水墨风格，特别善于探索精神层面的具象化，以各式隐喻与社会性符号提出思辨。他探索从中国传统绘画中提取出规则，以此来观察和表现自然，从而获得新的自由。曾健勇近年的创作从带有超现实主义色彩的场景绘画，到更为综合、宏大的“绘画剧场”，愈来愈摆脱特定题材的限制，转向对绘画本体，特别是绘画空间的研究，探讨水墨在空间中展开的可能性。

　　Zeng Jianyong was born in Chenghai， Guangdong in 1971， and currently lives and works in Beijing. His early works were mainly portraits of children， with emphasis on reification of spiritual and cultural contexts and speculation over various metaphors and social semiotics. Followed the aesthetic rule based on traditional Chinese ink painting and Calligraphy to observe and represent nature， in recent years， Zeng Jianyong’s work have changed from surrealistic depiction of nature to explore more comprehensive “theatrical scene painting”. Without the limitations of specific subjects matters and themes， Zeng Jianyong went back to the study the ontology， exploring the possibility of unfolding Chinese ink painting in space.
