2022中国·重庆首届国际光影艺术大赛秉持开放包容的原则,面向世界各地的数字媒体艺术家或团队公开征集灯光影像作品,强调运用3D Mapping技术,使光、数字影像等艺术媒介语言与黄桷坪涂鸦艺术街的建筑楼体、构筑物形成互动、呈现出富有创意和美感的视觉艺术效果。
本次大赛吸引了来自世界各地不同国家的团队参赛,提交作品有240余件,最终入围的40个团队分别来自中国,意大利,法国,德国,保加利亚,罗马尼亚等17个国家。
各个国家的知名艺术团队齐聚,以光影艺术为笔,黄桷坪涂鸦艺术街建筑为纸,共同描绘出一张流光溢彩的画卷,用不同地域文化诠释着不同的创作理念,有的呼吁环保,表现绿色主题;有的结合人工智能,表现重庆的当地文化;有的用手绘的逐帧动画,编织一场童话的美梦,各类型作品共聚本次光影艺术节,百花齐放,碰撞出奇妙的化学反应。2022中国·重庆首届国际光影艺术大赛设置了5个奖项,分别是金奖(1名),银奖(2名),铜奖(3名),人气奖(2名)和入围奖(40名),获奖结果已于2023年1月6日晚公布。2022中国·重庆首届国际光影艺术大赛线上作品展,合作媒体由MANA全球新媒体艺术平台、雅昌艺术网艺术头条、重庆上游新闻共同发布,展期1月6日—2月6日,届时在线上展览结束时评选出最具人气作品,敬请关注。

作品灵感源自弗兰兹·卡夫卡的《变形记》,以反乌托邦式的视角,审视了从地平线之上觉醒的人类。这一作品探索了人类与技术之间正在消融的边界,将我们带到一个充满未知的世界。明天的数字世界里有多少人类的影子?这种变形“预言”只是一种猜测。
Inspired by Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis" the experience presents a dystopian look at the human that has woken up beyond the horizon. The spectacle explores the dissolving frontier between humanity and technology, leading us to a world of uncertainty. How many shades of human are there in the digital world of tomorrow? The metamorph ''prophecy'' is taking a guess.

如果说坐落于重庆市中心的解放碑汇聚了巴山的豪迈,两江的灵气,沉淀着渝州历史,凝聚成了重庆的文化符号,它象征着山城的精神和气质。那么,501楼则见证了以九龙坡黄桷坪为代表的重庆工业文明记忆和市井百态。二者在文化意义上互为镜像却又各自有着不同的语境。两个不同信息载体在文化概念、视觉呈现、艺术语境的碰撞和音乐流动起伏中将述说怎样的山城意象?
以建筑为载体,灯光为语言,数码作为书写形式,通过工业遗存501楼体与重庆解放碑这一典型城市形象展开一段视觉语言的对话,501老建筑楼体的空间结构形态随节奏变换呈现现代都市缤纷意向,以解放碑为轴点,受其调度影响,同时又反馈互动,二者的和谐共舞中,历史逻辑、工业文明、城市变迁、数字生活、艺术表达、科技未来......在镜像中呈现时间切片的不同位面,视觉变幻与音乐节奏共舞,在夏日午夜的激情演绎中幻化为一场多维度的城市交响。
The Monument of Liberation located in the center of Chongqing is a symbol of the mountain city, featuring the boldness of the Daba Mountains, the spirit of the Youngtze River and Jialing River, as well as the history of Yuzhou. While the 501 Contemporary Art Center is a witness of the development of Chongqing’s industrial civilization and the vivid life of local people, represented by Huangjueping Graffiti Street. Both of them are not only mirroring each other, but also keeping their own features. How will the two different carriers tell the story of the Mountain city through the integration of cultural concepts, visual works, artistic feelings, and music rhythm?
The 501 Contemporary Center and the Monument of Liberation convened visual communication through architecture, lights and digital devices. The space structure changed with the beat to demonstrate a charming modern city. Indulging in visual changes and music beats, they projected different aspects of the timeline via history logic, industrial civilization, urban development, digital life, artistic language and promising science. Hence a multi-dimensional urban symphony is played in a summer night.

生命有生有死,文明有始有终。亿万年后,荒芜的地球重新焕发生机,一只沉睡了亿万年的鲸鱼苏醒,开始建立世界新一轮的进程;当新世界开始轮回,当环境、科技、人与自然重新摆到眼前,鲸鱼会做出怎样的选择?
工业革命以来,科技发展推动人类文明的进步,人类逐渐拥有了改造自然的能力,但人类真可以凌驾自然之上么?当自然界的生存环境变得糟糕,人类的生存环境也愈加糟糕,环保的声音逐渐响起,现在环保已成为全球范围内非常重要的课题。但是无论环保与否,地球都具有自我再生的能力,环保也并非是非黑即白。我们无意评论是非对错,只是提出一种假设,从而提出一个问题:当亿万年后一切重新开始,沉睡中的鲸鱼苏醒,重新建立社会文明,推动社会发展,时空交错,历史重现,当鲸鱼在进程中死亡,接下来的世界该是什么样的?又会如何选择?
Just as life has its own birth and death, so does civilization. After billions of years, the barren earth will rejuvenate. A whale that has slept for billions of years awakens and begins to build a new world. When the world starts to run again, environment, science and technology, human and nature would re-appear, what choices will whales make?
Since the Industrial Revolution, science and technology development have boosted the progress of human civilization. Human beings gradually have the ability to remake nature. But can humans really override nature? Human's living environment is getting worse with the deterioration of the nature environment. Therefore, the environmental protection is catching people's eyeballs, and it has become a very important issue worldwide. But whether to protect environment or not, the earth has the ability to regenerate itself, and environmental protection is not an absolute concept. Our intention is not to judge but to raise a hypothesis and then a question: when everything restarts after billions of years, with the whale awakening, another social civilization is built and social development is promoted. As time goes by, history would repeat. When the whale dies in this process, what the world would be like? what choice should be made?

简单的几笔涂鸦线条将整座城市改造成了一个五彩缤纷的美丽世界。我们赋予这些线条以生命力,让它们在墙体上自由翱翔,将这些涂鸦带进了一个魔幻的动画世界,让平整的墙体以崭新的形态出现在人们眼前。我们从喷漆入手,接着,画上复杂的、超现实的作品,在这些简单建筑结构中,描绘出了平行世界。在那个世界里,古今元素彼此交织,随着线条飞翔在墙体之上,整个建筑也栩栩如生起来。
在创作过程中,我们运用了人工智能,如扩散网络来将投影动画改造成美轮美奂的世界。根据设计理念,我们在电脑中输入了动画和句子。比如:“一座流光溢彩的城市”、“一座璀璨明亮的殿堂”、“一条永不停息的金色网络”。这些创意想法展示出了我们的整个改造过程,将简单的街头艺术升华为了一个充满魔力的缤纷世界。
The simple line of spray paint transforms an entire city into a beautiful, colorful world. We take this metaphor into the magical animated world as our sprayed line becomes alive, flying over the building, creating new shapes and objects out of the plain houses. We start with spray paint, then, the animation becomes increasingly complex and otherworldly as we create alternate universes from our simple architecture. In alternate cities, ancient and modern, architecture becomes alive as our line of spray paint flies over the building.
Our work uses Artificial Intelligence like Diffusion Networks to transform our Mapping Animations into beautiful other worlds. The input for our computer collaborator is an animation and a sentence that we would like to transform our animation into. Some examples for our input texts are: “A beautiful city in China by night”, “A celestial golden temple”, and “an infinite fractal network of golden roots”. These ideas represent fantastical timelines of transformations, from simple street art to magical, fantastical worlds.

如今,人类不断对其周围环境进行评估。
技术已经是人们日常生活中不可或缺的一部分,直接的自然体验也成了人工制造的产物。比如,很多计算机模型能够完美模拟出自然界,甚至让我们在视觉上身临其境。当前,一些科学研究表明生物与人工合成酶可与自然共存,并帮助解决一些环境问题。
这些投影映射在建筑物上展现人造自然,通过无线条的描写,向观众展现人工世界创造的自然美感。
萤火虫视觉游击工作室采用生成音乐制作技术,专门为录像作品设计了声音景观。这项制作在2019年的乌克兰基辅灯光节上大放异彩,获得了裁判委员会的好评,最终以第二名的佳绩胜出。
Today the human being lives in a constant evaluation of his surroundings.
Technology is already essential in our modus vivendi and on the contrary, the direct experience with nature is just a representation that is created artificially. Many computational patterns perfectly simulate the patterns we find in nature, and they can even lead us to them visually. Nowadays, several scientific studies show us that there is a possibility that creatures and synthetic enzymes created by humans can coexist with nature and also be able to save environmental problems.
The project wants to reflect a nature designed by the human being, taking the facade as a continent element where, through a non-linear narrative, it is intended to show the sensation of a natural world created artificially to the spectator.
The soundscape was exclusively designed for the video piece by Hotaru Visual Guerrilla using generative music-making techniques among others.
This piece was presented at the Kyiv Light Festival in 2019 and won the second prize from the jury.

旹者,时也,本春秋冬夏之称。
古代人类使用日晷来记录时间,一个在石台上旋转的影子,指导人类日出而作,日落而息。一个个光影流转,映照着或辉煌或苦难的历史。
旹者,时也,物之生死各应节期而至。
时间是运动本身。不可逆的时间流中宇宙本身也面对着必然的终局,这正如它的出现。
我尝试代入一个站在时间之外的人,在他的视角,也许是站在残破古城的一角看着日升日落,也许是站在石壁旁仰望星空,也许是看着藤蔓爬满墙壁,也许是看着一个个生物的群体聚集繁荣,而后又四散消失。
但也许宇宙的终局并不会坍缩,银河系在核心黑洞彻底冷却前能获得新的星系加入,跨越星系的航程总能幸运的寻找到流浪的行星和恒星。人类始终是要振奋和昂扬的。这正如即使一个原子,他的振动也永远不会消失。
The word "Shi" means time, which originally refers to the Spring, Autumn, Winter and Summer.
In ancient times, people used sundials to record time. The rotating shadow on a stone platform, guided mankind to work at sunrise and rest at sunset. A flow of light and shadow reflects the glorious or miserable history.
The life and death of things all come at their own time.
Time is movement. In the irreversible time flow, the universe itself also faces an inevitable start and end.
I try to put myself in the shoes of a person who stands outside of time. From his perspective, he may stand in a corner of a dilapidated ancient city watching the sun rise and set, or stand by a stone wall looking up at the stars, watch vines climbing the walls, or observe groups of creatures gather and prosper, and then disappear.
But perhaps the universe will never collapse. The Milky Way Galaxy can get new galaxies to join in before the core black hole cools down completely. And the voyage across galaxies will always be lucky enough to find wandering planets and stars. Mankind is always meant to be exhilarating and uplifting. This is just like an atom whose vibration never disappears.
