本次展览是一次穿越时间历程的无主题变奏，三位艺术家皆经历了1980年代校尉胡同时期的大学时代。他们的艺术形成于中国当代艺术的纯真与青春的年代，他们带着跨越世纪的尘埃和理想主义的光晕照进今天的现实。这次展览是一次远行后的短暂回望，这次展览也是一代人精神写照的管中窥豹，这次展览同时也是跨越时间的对话与对画。时间这一抽象的意象在本次展览中变得可见和可触摸，三位艺术家看似风格迥然的作品实际上描述出一代人的生命处境，他们或张弛有度，或悠然淡远，或挺拔壮硕，这些作品藏着艺术家隐秘的信息，同为这一年代的诗人在《一个人老了》中写道：“藏起失败，藏起成功。在房梁上，在树洞里，他已藏好张张纸条，写满爱情和痛苦”。他们是本次展览的三位艺术家，他们是这一代人，他们的时间是集体记忆的一部分，他们的时间是与中国当代艺术四十余年同步的历程，他们的时间也成为解释我们如何走到今天的例证。

　　This exhibition is a variation through time. All three exhibited artists studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the 1980s when the academy was still located in Xiaowei Hutong. Their art， formed in the youthful years of Chinese contemporary art， is shinning into today‘s reality with the memory of the past century and the spirit of idealism. This exhibition is a brief looking-back after a long journey， a glimpse into the spirit of a generation， and a visual dialogue that transcends time. The abstract image of time becomes visible and palpable in this exhibition； exhibited artworks in seemingly different styles actually depict the lives of one same generation. Being fine， relaxed， strong or forceful， these works contain secret messages from the artists， just as written in the poem When One’s Aging by a poet of their generation： ‘his successes and failures are hidden； on the rafters， in the holes of trees， he has hidden notes full of love and pain’. The three artists are part of a generation whose time remains part of a collective memory. Their time synchronizes with the development of Chinese contemporary art over the past forty years， and illustrates how we get where we are today.
