人和人之间的相识讲究缘分，正是这缘分，使得相识之人成为了彼此生命的见证者。我和肖峰就是这样的关系。

自1994年起，我和肖峰认识迄今已有25年。初识时，他风华正茂，闯劲十足，创业路上勇往直前，而如今肖峰年过半百，经历了很多世事，事业艺术双丰收。2020年元旦肖峰、小红夫妇的儿子王天昕和美国儿媳戴芙妮将步入婚姻的殿堂，作为多年的相识，我由衷地为肖峰一家人感到高兴。

幸福是奋斗出来的。肖峰的人生之路就是这句话最直接的证明。　肖峰小小年纪，因为家庭变故，16岁从西安美术专科学校毕业后就离家独立生活。1983年投在已故著名画家张义潜先生门下做了入室弟子，在义潜先生家整整住了两年。义潜先生手把手教他做人，教他画画，并鼓励他要自立自强，先生存再发展。他听从恩师教诲，白手起家。在1989年，肖峰从一把钉锤，一个螺丝刀，一柄手钳起家，在每月租金5元，仅7平方米的牛毛毡棚子里成立了艺林装饰工程部开始创业。这一干就是三十年，期间历尽艰辛，甘苦备尝，努力拼搏后，成为了一位成功的民营企业家。

不忘初心，方得始终。肖峰年届五十的时候，又把主要精力从企业经营转到绘画事业上。他不忘幼时爱好，不丢绘画基础，重新拾起画笔，在绘画事业上投入了大量的时间和精力。他几乎是玩命似地出外写生，夜以继日地勤奋画画，在短短几年时间里，肖峰佳作频出，在他个人的人生路上，又成功完成了一次华丽转身。

肖峰虚心好学，为人豪爽，广交朋友。从2014年起，先后拜我省多位书画名家雷珍民、崔振宽、赵振川、江文湛、徐义生、梁耘等为师，执弟子礼、画技大进。他决心在自己的后半生、在绘画领域打开自己的一片新天地。他为陕西的书画事业舍得投巨资，开拓新领地，先后在长安上王村、宁陕蒿沟、西安天然汇创建书画院、写生创作基地和天然汇艺术馆，可谓成绩卓著。对于儿子王天昕来说，他的父亲称得上是传统意义上的“虎父”。

长江后浪推前浪，青出于蓝而胜于蓝。我认识肖峰的儿子王天昕时，他才仅仅四岁，转眼间，已长大成人，成家立业。多年来肖峰对我的母亲尊敬有加，但有闲暇，多有看望。天昕小时，每到冬季，她都要亲手给王天昕缝制农村孩子穿的那种厚厚的棉袄棉裤，害怕孩子受冻。两家人的交往与情谊也就在这一针一线中愈发的紧密而亲近。

虎父无犬子。王天昕也是王氏家族多少辈人中少有的姣姣者。2010年王天昕从西北大学人力资源管理专业以公派交流生的身份到美国托莱多大学供应链管理专业学习，2013年以全科皆A的优异成绩毕业，随又转入美国著名高校圣路易斯华盛顿大学读硕士研究生。2015年到2018年在全美顶级的德勤公司就职，在个人的职业生涯上成绩斐然。

有缘千里来相会，2017年秋，王天昕在芝加哥的一家索马里餐厅偶遇戴芙妮小姐，由相遇、相识、相交到相亲，两个人比翼双飞，决定携手相伴共同开始美好的人生。2018年6月到2019年8月，王天昕和戴芙妮用14个月的时间环游世界，走了全球57个国家，实现了中国先贤们一生最大的志向：读万卷书，行万里路。在盛大庆典前夕，王天昕怀着"宁恋祖国一杯土，不爱他国万两金"的报国情怀回国发展，现就职于北京贝壳找房公司，担任总裁办高级战略经理。天昕年轻时这样丰富而独特的人生阅历，必定会为他个人今后的发展提供一个更广阔的视野。

王肖峰用自己的勤奋和智慧改变了自己的前途和家族的命运，做了很多工程，创作了很多作品，对社会正在做着越来越多的贡献，对个人正在向着更高的目标奋斗。王天昕学成归来，风华正茂，也正在用自己的青春和学识追逐着自己的梦想，谱写着自己的生命华章。

有志者事竟成。王肖峰半辈子艰苦创业，打下了丰厚的家业基础。王天昕年纪轻轻就有如此高起点的工作平台，可以说肖峰和儿子这两代人的奋斗业绩将光前裕后。

在王天昕和戴芙妮走进婚姻殿堂之际，我撰写了一副对联以表达我和我的家人们对一对新人最诚挚的祝福：“跨洋过海异国恋，执手结发终生伴”，祝贺王天昕婚姻美满，祝王肖峰全家生活幸福。

Like Father, Like Son

We meet because we are destined to. Fate makes two parallel lines to cross and becomes an integral part of each’s trajectory. Xiaofeng and I are lucky enough to be just like that.

Xiaofeng and I have been close friends for 25 years since 1994. When we first met, he was at the peak of his youth, bold in action and brave in starting his own business. Now Xiaofeng is in his fifties, savoring the fruits of his career and artistic adventure in spite of life’s ups and downs along the way. January 1^st, 2020 will witness Wang Tianxin, son of Xiao Xiaofeng and Xiaohong, and Dafne’s wedding. As an old friend, I am truly happy for Xiaofeng and his families.

Happiness is hard earned. Xiaofeng’s life exemplifies this. At the age of sixteen, Xiaofeng left home and lived on his own after he graduated from a school of fine arts in Xi’an because of family changes. In 1983, he became an apprentice of the famous late painter Zhang Yiqian where he was taught hand by hand how to draw and most importantly, how to be a man. Xiaofeng was also encouraged to be self-dependent and put life before development. Given the takeaway, he started from scratch. In 1989, with a screwdriver, a hammer and a plier at hand, Xiaofeng founded Yilin Decoration Project Department in a 7m² shabby mat shed which charged 5 yuan per month and the rest is a three-decade story filled with twists and turns that ends with a tremendous success of a private company entrepreneur.

Only by knowing where you want to go can you ever get there. When Xiaofeng turned 50, he devoted himself to painting instead of business running. Never dropping his childhood hobby and his painting skills, he again picked up the brush and indulged himself in painting. He did outdoor sketch and kept on painting as if there’s no tomorrow. In just a few years, Xiaofeng’s masterpieces blew the public’s minds and he completed such inspiring life-changing story one more time.

Xiaofeng is humble and generous, a good friend for many. Since 2014, he have been the apprentice of famous masters of drawing and calligraphy of our province, including Lei Zhenmin, Cui Zhenkuan, Zhao Zhenchuan, Jiang Wenzhan, Xu Yisheng and Liang Geng. He was determined to open up a new world in the second half of his life and in painting. He has invested heavily in Shaanxi's calligraphy and painting blazing new trails and setting up calligraphy and painting academies, sketch creation bases and Tianranhui galleries in Chang’an Shangwang Village, Ningshan Haogou Village and Xi’an Tianranhui, which yielded fruitful results. For his son Wang Tianxin, Xiaofeng can be recognized as a traditional “Tiger Dad”.

Great father, even greater son. I met Xiaofeng’s son Tianxin when he was only four. Time flew and now he is a grown-up about to start his new family and career. Over the years, Xiaofeng always respects my mother and visits her whenever he’s available. When Tianxin was a kid, my mother would make him giant cotton waded jackets and trousers often seen in villages in case he might catch a cold. Needles and stitches are adding to the ever closer relationship between our two families.

Like father, like son. Wang Tianxin is one of the most outstanding men in his family. He studied supply chain management in the University of Toledo as a visiting student from Department of Human Resources Management, Northwest University and graduated with A in all his subjects in 2013 before he pursued his graduate education in Washington University in St. Louis. From 2015-2018, he worked at Deloitte, the top consultancy company in the US, and made significant contribution to the corporation.

Distance cannot separate people destined to meet. In the autumn of 2017, Wang Tianxin met Dafne in a Somalian restaurant in Chicago. The two began to know each other, fell in love and were finally ready to share their beautiful lives together. They spent 14 months traveling around the world from June, 2018 to August, 2019, visiting 57 countries in total and living the aspiration of so many ancient great minds: read ten thousand books and travel ten thousand miles. As China celebrates its 70^th birthday, Wang Tianxin decided to return home for his country and now he is the senior strategic manager of the executive office in Beijing ke.com, an online real estate agency. I am sure his rich and unique life experience will provide him with even greater platforms.

Wang Xiaofeng’s wisdom and hard work changed the destiny of his future and his family, leaving behind many projects and works that enables a better society and a more fulfilled life of his own. As a young well-educated student back from overseas, Wang Tianxin is also chasing after his dream with his youth and knowledge and writing a splendid chapter of his life.

There’s a will, there’s a way. Wang Xiaofeng worked his heart out to run his business for 50 years, laying down solid foundation for his families. Wang Tianxin is able to be in such a big picture at a young age. The father and son glorify the entire family.

As Wang Tianxin and Dafne are about to get married, I wrote the following couplet to express my family and my sincerest congratulations: Love knows no borders; till life draws you apart. Wish Wang Tianxin a perfect marriage and Wang Xiaofeng and his families a happy life.
