Drifting Between Poetry and History: The Life Philosophy and Emotional Expression of Fu Yuxiang

Fu Yuxiang is a contemporary poet with a distinctive style. His poetry often blends a rich sense of history, philosophical reflection, and profound insights into life. By intertwining elements such as natural landscapes, historical legends, and everyday life, his works present an imagery that transcends time and space, along with deep emotional resonance. Fu's poetry is diverse in form, with concise yet rhythmic language. Through metaphors, symbolism, and nonlinear structures, he conveys both inner confusion and moments of enlightenment.

In "Four Seas Have Crossings" and "From Now On", Fu Yuxiang reflects on time, history, and life. In his works, he frequently brings reflections on the past, future, and fate into his depictions of natural landscapes. For example, in "Four Seas Have Crossings", the line "The clouds collect the past and the words" not only depicts a scene but also carries a deep historical and emotional resonance. Through these metaphors, the poet subtly expresses the connection between the self, history, and the universe, as if the individual's fate drifts along with countless events in the river of time.

The lines "Like a broken chess piece, knowing white, guarding black" and "The sky full of dreams, the lone peak like the sudden sound of the past" evoke a serene and distant philosophical atmosphere, suggesting the choices and impermanence of life. Especially the line "The epic hangs on the back of the ancient rider's horse", which, through the weight of history, explores the poet's awe of the past and anticipation of the future, revealing the epic nature of his work.

In "From Now On", Fu Yuxiang's language is more concise and rhythmic, with poetry and emotion intertwining. In the poem, "Wine is closest to starlight, the sacred mountain silently permits," the poet integrates feelings of loneliness and time into depictions of daily life, presenting a sense of detachment and inner peace. The ending line, "The night-blooming cereus knocks all the way, its wings fly over the unfamiliar, saving our past like flowing water," expresses a sense of life's fleetingness and impermanence.

Fu Yuxiang's poetry has a strong personal touch, successfully shaping his unique image as a poet through precise depictions of details and subtle expressions of emotion. His works strike a balance between delicate sensibility and profound rationality, not only filled with philosophical reflections but also rich in feelings about life and history. The Cang Mountain has passed, and all the trees have withered

The thick earth is like aged wine

We were once empty-handed

The Six Classics ferrying, the vast sea sleepless

When rites and music arrive, you and I raise flags in the wind

We stir up the past, like smoke and clouds

The stream floats, unwilling to leave the nostalgia

The sky full of dreams, the lone peak like the sudden sound of the past

Another reincarnation in February, the spring breeze ten miles

The station still lies in the departed seasons
