2015 年的这个夏天，我想换一种方式与荷塘对话。

于是有了这幅《莲塘清趣》——它并非对景写生，而更像一场与色彩和肌理的即兴合奏。我让蓝、绿、黄在画布上自由流淌、碰撞、渗透。它们并非孤立的色块，而是彼此邀请，相互成全：钴蓝沉入墨绿时泛出湖青，群青遇上柠黄便化为一片柔碧；而那从鹅黄到琥珀黄的层层叠染，则象是光被水揉碎后又重新聚拢的痕迹。

随着色彩的每一次相遇，新的色阶悄然诞生——它们不是预设的，而是在流淌中自然形成的韵律。斑驳的肌理与细碎的点染，正是这些色彩呼吸的痕迹，也是浮光跃金、萍叶偶遇的生动瞬刻。

没有一朵具象的莲，没有一片具体的叶。但我相信，生命的气息就藏在这片色彩的颤动之中——不同的黄从蓝绿里透出，似晨光次第洒落水面；色层相互渗透，如生生不息的萌动在悄然蔓延。画布上的每一处肌理，都在诉说着生长与际遇；每一抹偶然形成的色彩，都象是生命赠予的不期而遇的美好。

这正是我所感知的荷塘：它不仅仅是植物与水的组合，更是一种流淌着的、饱满而松弛的生命状态。这些看似抽象的笔触里，藏着我与自然相处时最真挚的喜悦。生命的美好犹如这满幅跃动的色彩——无须刻意寻找，它们就在那里，在每一种黄的明亮中，在每一次蓝与绿的对话里，盈盈不绝，触目皆是。

Tranquil Delights of a Lotus Pond

In the summer of 2015, I wanted to converse with the lotus pond in a different way.

Thus came this painting, Tranquil Delights of a Lotus Pond—it is not a sketch from life, but more like an improvised duet with color and texture. I let blues, greens, and yellows flow freely across the canvas, collide, and permeate one another. They are not isolated patches of color, but rather invitations to each other, mutually fulfilling: cobalt blue sinking into dark green reveals a lake-blue hue; ultramarine meeting lemon yellow softens into a gentle jade; and the layered washes from pale yellow to amber yellow resemble traces of light being scattered by water and then gathered again.

With each encounter of colors, new gradations quietly emerge—they are not predetermined, but rhythms naturally formed in the flow. The mottled textures and delicate dapples are precisely the traces of these colors breathing, as well as vivid moments of shimmering light and floating leaves meeting by chance.

There is no literal lotus, no specific leaf. Yet I believe the breath of life is hidden within this trembling of colors—different yellows emerging from the blue—greens, like morning light spilling gradually upon the water's surface; layers of color seeping into one another, like the quiet spread of an ever—renewing vitality. Every texture on the canvas speaks of growth and encounter; every hue formed by chance resembles an unexpected gift bestowed by life.

This is exactly how I perceive a lotus pond: it is not merely a combination of plants and water, but a flowing, full, and relaxed state of being. Within these seemingly abstract brushstrokes lies the most sincere joy I feel when being with nature. The beauty of life is like these vibrant colors filling the canvas—there is no need to search deliberately, for they are right there, in every bright yellow, in every dialogue between blue and green, abundant and visible everywhere.
