Semiconductor chips are known as the building bricks of our digital world today. They process signals, accelerate computation and keep everything connected. At the same time, we come to realize that signals may carry no inherent meaning, computation may render no independent judgment, and interconnections remain oblivious to the purpose behind every link they forge.
Artists, on the other hand, move along an entirely different path, treading into uncharted waters where material, technology and human experience collide and pose critical questions that automated technical systems fail to answer.
The exhibition, CoreEcho, is staging an authentic encounter that is neither art as mere decorative ornament for technology, nor technology as a cosmetic upgrade to art. Instead, the two seemingly distinct paths will converge in one shared space where artists, scientists and entrepreneurs will join hands in co-creating art pieces and during this process, uncover what lies in between technology and the spirit of artistic creativity.
How may art endow human existence with deeper meaning?
This is the question we pose to all in the technology-overwhelmed world today.
