精品赏析-范曾《钟馗神威图》

     范曾,字十翼,别署抱冲斋主,江苏南通人,中国当代著名学者、思想家、国学大师、书画巨匠、文学家、诗人。现任北京大学中国画法研究院院长,中国艺术研究院终身研究员,南开大学、南通大学惟一终身教授,联合国教科文组织“多元文化特别顾问”。为当代中国集诗书画、文史哲、儒释道于一身的文化大家,平生著作等身,有约一百五十种诗、书画、哲学之著述,国家图书馆珍藏其中119种。1984年日本冈山范曾美术馆建立;2007年南通大学范曾艺术馆揭牌。有二十四字自评:痴于绘画,能书;偶为辞章,颇抒己怀;好读书史,略通古今之变。

        范曾先生是当代画坛巨擘,以开拓求新为时尚,或以固守传统为荣,都无法解释他。他接受过严格的学院训练,这使他的造型手段迥然不同于传统中国画家。他浸淫传统之深,使他的笔墨技巧达到了极高的水准,甚至使古人瞠乎其后。他博学多才,“致广大而尽精微”,又使他的画面富有诗的意蕴境界。可以说,范曾正是在中国画诸大师的百尺竿头,再进一步。他是纯粹传统的画家,又是真正能够为传统开新路的画家。范曾提倡“回归古典、回归自然”,身体力行“以诗为魂、以书为骨”的美学原则,对中国画的发展厥功至钜,开创了“新古典主义”艺术的先河。

  钟馗可谓大众崇拜的神话人物,民间俗界有着可观的人缘人脉。古书记载他系唐初长安终南山人(据古籍记载及考证,钟馗故里为陕西省西安秦岭中段终南山下户县石井镇钟馗故里欢乐谷),生得豹头环眼,铁面虬鬓,相貌奇异;然而却是个才华横溢、满腹经纶的人物,平素正气浩然,刚直不阿,待人正直,肝胆相照。国画大师们历来不乏塑造钟馗的雅兴,五代黄筌、宋代石恪、元代龚开、明代戴进,清代则更多,有顾见龙、金农、华喦、罗聘、黄慎、李鱓、任颐、赵之谦等,近代著名画家齐白石、徐悲鸿、李可染、黄胄等,都拿出看家本领渲染涂鸦,各有侧重各有风格各有千秋。

        范曾先生所绘钟馗,不同于古人,他用自己擅长的泼墨去画钟馗,又对这一传统题材作了独具匠心的艺术改造,即不去刻画钟馗将小鬼“刳目而啖之”的可怖,而着力表现其“内圣外王”的人文内涵。于是钟馗不再是凶恶骇人的“鬼”,而是有血有肉、有爱有憎的“人”,既端庄威严又可敬可亲。钟馗成为范曾艺术世界中的一个重要符号,给了他恒久的艺术生命。范曾画钟馗已有40年历史。他的威风凛然、精光四射的钟馗形象已广为世人所喜爱,他本人最初也因钟馗而声名雀起。

  《钟馗神威图》系范曾典型之作,画中用充满激情的画笔,寥寥几根线条准确而又生动地勾画出这位刚正不阿,正气浩然的中国传统文化中“赐福镇宅圣君”钟馗的形象。最为精彩部分为人物神情的刻画,钟馗面部表情在胸有成竹的沉着中微微透露一种紧张和严肃,一只手臂微微抬起,也是其内心活动的写照。全图笔墨凝练生动,设色淡雅和谐,钟馗形象勾勒极致简化,甚至衣饰也不予以敷色渲染,成功地表现出钟馗的文人气质,既端庄威严,又可敬可亲。是范曾先生十分难得的人物画佳作。右方题字书法,酣劲流畅,顿挫明快,给观者以无尽的享受,艺术价值不言而喻。

        Fan Zeng is a famous scholar, thinker, master of traditional Chinese culture, master of calligraphy and painting, writer and poet in contemporary China. At present, he is the president of the Chinese Painting Academy of Peking University, a lifelong researcher of the Chinese Academy of Arts, the only tenured professor of Nankai University and Nantong University, and the "special adviser on multiculturalism" of UNESCO. He is a great master of contemporary Chinese culture who integrates poetry, calligraphy, painting, literature, history, philosophy, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. He has written about 150 kinds of poetry, calligraphy, painting and philosophy, among which 119 are collected by the National Library. In 1984, Japan's Okayama fan Zeng art museum was established; in 2007, the fan Zeng Art Museum of Nantong University was opened. There are 24 words of self-evaluation: infatuated with painting, able to write; occasionally for the rhetoric, quite express their feelings; good reading history, a little understanding of the ancient and modern changes.

        Mr. Fan Zeng is a giant in the contemporary painting world. He takes innovation as the fashion, or he is proud of sticking to the tradition. He has received strict academic training, which makes his modeling methods very different from traditional Chinese painters. He was deeply immersed in the tradition, which made his brush and ink skills reach a very high level, and even made the ancients astonished. He is erudite and versatile, which makes his pictures full of poetic implication. It can be said that fan Zeng was a great master of Chinese painting and went further. He is not only a pure traditional painter, but also a painter who can really open a new way for tradition. Fan Zeng advocated "returning to classicism and nature" and practiced the aesthetic principle of "taking poetry as the soul and calligraphy as the bone". He made great contributions to the development of Chinese painting and created a new era of "neoclassicism" art.

        Zhongkui is a mythical figure worshipped by the masses, and there are considerable relationships among the folk customs. Ancient books record that he was a man from Chang'an and Zhongnan Mountain in the early Tang Dynasty (according to the ancient records and textual research, Zhongkui's hometown is the happy valley of Zhongkui's hometown in Shijing Town, xiahu County, Zhongnan mountain, middle Qinling, Shaanxi Province). He was born with leopard head and eyes, and the iron face was round temples with strange appearance. However, he was a talented and experienced person with a plain and upright attitude, upright and honest, and was brave and honest. The masters of Chinese painting have always shaped Zhongkui's elegance. Huang Xun in the Five Dynasties, Shike in Song Dynasty, Gongkai in Yuan Dynasty and Dai Jin in Ming Dynasty, and more in Qing Dynasty. Gu saw long, Jinnong, Hua Xun, luopin, Huang Shen, Li Xun, Renyi, zhaozhiqian, etc. all of the famous painters in modern times, Qibaishi, Xubeihong, Li Keran and Huangzhou, all of them showed their own skills to render graffiti, each focusing on thousands of styles Autumn.

        Mr. Fan Zeng painted Zhongkui, different from the ancients, used his good ink to paint Zhongkui, and made a creative artistic transformation on this traditional subject, that is, not to depict the horror of Zhongkui's "eating the eyes" of the ghost, and to express the humanistic connotation of "the inner saint and the king". Therefore, Zhong Kui is no longer a vicious and terrible ghost, but a man with blood and flesh and love and hate. He is both dignified and respectable. Zhong Kui became an important symbol in fan Zeng's art world, which gave him a long life in art. Fan Zeng has drawn Zhongkui for 40 years. His powerful and brilliant image of Zhongkui has been widely loved by the world. He himself was also named after Zhongkui.

        Zhongkui divine power picture is a typical work of fan Zeng. With passionate brush, few lines accurately and vividly delineate the image of Zhongkui, who is a kind and upright and vigorous Chinese traditional culture. The most wonderful part is the depiction of the characters' expression. Zhongkui's facial expression reveals a kind of tension and seriousness in the calm of his chest. His arm is slightly raised and the inner activity is also a portrait. The whole picture is concise and vivid, with elegant and harmonious colors. Zhongkui's image is simplified and even the clothes and decorations are not painted. Zhongkui's literati temperament is displayed successfully, which is both dignified and respectable. It is a very rare masterpiece of figure painting by Mr. Fan Zeng. The calligraphy with inscription on the right is fluent and quick. It gives the viewer endless enjoyment. The artistic value is self-evident.
