Conny Zenk

维也纳多媒体艺术家康妮·赞克(Conny Zenk)的抽象城市动画，反映了她在全球化和城市化背景下在深圳的个性化漫游。在这个媒体装置中， 她使用重叠的形式和分层的声音，其中包括全景概述和在她的现代城市旅游期间的各种停留地点。33空间展览的开幕特辑表演是对城市的清晰印象、也是对未来乌托邦的想象，没有任何典型的讲故事或连接。这位艺术家展示了不同层次的高层塔楼，引导我们去观察这座城市的周围。康妮的表演亦与邱稳基(香港)的即兴演奏及彭宇当代舞蹈团（深圳）的身体或舞蹈互动。

The abstract urban animations by Conny Zenk, Vienna based multimedia artist, mirror her personalized roam around Shenzhen in the context of globalization and urbanisation. In this media installation, she uses overlapping forms and layered sound, which contain both panoramic overview and various stop sites during her modern city tour undertaken. The performance on opening at 33SPACE features the unambiguous impression of the city and also the imagination of the future Utopia without any typical storytelling or concatenation. The artist presents the different layers of high-rise towers to the public, guiding us to observe the surrounding in the city. Conny’s performance also interacts with the sound improvisation of Eric Yau (Hong Kong) and the body or dance actions of the P-y Dance Company (Shenzhen).

Conny Zenk is the founder of the multiplayer performance"RAD Performance". Since 2013, she has developed and curated numerous mobile showcases featuring contemporary performing arts, action models and urban exploration. In 2008-2012, she established the “ffid” performance collective, which was dedicated to researching and creating the intersection of performing arts, visual arts, experimental music and etc.. As a collaborative group that united the presentation and continuous research, the group members combined a variety of art forms and collaborations from diverse fields, including video, music, performance, philosophy, design , and architecture. During 2017 and 2018, Conny created a performance named “selfie Dreamer” and exhibited in several international art festivals and art residency projects in Europe (eg: ACF, London, UK | Sankt Georgen Museum, Switzerland | FABRIK in Seestadt, Vienna, Austria | New Adits Festival Vienna, Klagenfurt, Austria)

RAD Performance

Conny Zenk is working on topics like social media, migration, gender and feminism as well as on urban, architectural and spatial concepts mainly using projection (2D or 3D), video and screen-based art in the context of performances and installations throughout laser projection and smartphones interactive mobile performances around the city. She is specially interested in the process of composing and performing questioning the relation between a physical moving body (as dancing) and technology (as digital interfaces). Active as a performer in the scope of visual music she is composing and visualizing in collaboration with inspiring musicians and sound artists. In various audiovisual music projects, her main work is about creating a language of improvisation between different artistic fields and an atmosphere of light structures and video-based architecture. By means of generative programs, she creates abstract elements such as oscillating lines and surfaces, granular flickering and stroboscopic impulses. Conny Zenk plays with the concept of perception and of what is not visible. Her work is framed by digital methods within the context of social and political questions.
