大观通宝是北宋徽宗赵佶在大观年间（公元1107年至1110年）所铸造的年号钱。它有小平、折二、折三、折十等多种版式。北宋货币大观通宝，是由徽宗御题钱文。宋代与历朝有所不同，每换一种年号就开炉铸新币，若年号与宝文相重，则更铸非年号钱。终宋三百年，通行以小平折二钱为主，其间也有大钱流通、钱币的轮廓，尺寸都有一定标准。因此宋钱版别极多，历代罕有，钱文除真、草、隶、篆，行外，还有便是北宋徽宗的“玉划银勾”瘦金体。
Daguan Tongbao is the year number coined by Zhao You, Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, during the Daguan Period (1107-1100 A.D.). “风流天子出崇观，铁画银勾字字端。闻道蜀中铜货少，任凭顽铁买江山！”诗中传述的便是北宋徽宗传神的瘦金体。徽宗早年继承帝位，崇尚书法绘画艺术，却不善理国。他自己则御书亲题其中的崇宁通宝、大观通宝，政和重宝，宣和通宝背陕等钱文。御书钱钱文精美，铸造技术高超，为历朝之冠。
