釉里红，瓷器釉下彩装饰手法之一，创烧于元代景德镇。是将含有金属铜元素为呈色剂的彩料按所需图案纹样绘在瓷器胎坯的表面，再罩以一层无色透明釉，然后入窑在1300℃左右的高温还原焰气氛中一次烧成。元釉里红是陶瓷装饰是历史上重要发明之一。此件拍品为元末明初“釉里红云龙牡丹花卉纹大罐”，罐口径：20cm，底径：18.8cm，高28cm。素底宽圈足，直口短颈，唇口稍厚，溜肩圆腹，肩以下渐广，至腹部下渐收，至底微撇。器身纹饰共分四层，一层颈部缠枝纹，二层肩部三爪龙乘于如意祥云之上为主题纹饰，三层腹部为牡丹缠枝花卉，四层下部为变形莲瓣纹内绘琛宝，俗称“八大码”。元釉里红瓷属于奇货可居。在存世甚少的釉里红瓷器中，器形如此完整壮硕，纹饰精湛生动的更是凤毛麟角，其收藏价值不可估量！

Red under glaze, one of the decorative techniques of porcelain under glaze, was created and burned in Jingdezhen of Yuan Dynasty. It is to paint the color material containing copper element as the chromogenic agent on the surface of the ceramic body according to the pattern needed, then cover it with a colorless transparent glaze, and then sinter it into the kiln in a high temperature reduction flame atmosphere of about 1300 degrees Celsius. Yuan glaze red is one of the important inventions in the history of ceramic decoration. This photograph is a large pot with flower pattern of red clouds and peony in glaze at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty. The caliber of the pot is 20 cm, the bottom is 18.8 cm and the height is 28 cm. Wide circle foot, straight mouth and short neck, slightly thick lip, slippery shoulder, round abdomen, gradually widen below the shoulder, gradually recede to the lower abdomen, till the bottom slightly skimmed. The body decoration is divided into four layers, one layer of neck twining pattern, two layers of shoulder three-clawed dragon riding on Ruyi Xiangyun as the theme decoration, three layers of abdomen for peony twining flowers, four layers of lower part for deformed lotus petal pattern inside painting Chenbao, commonly known as "eight yards". Red Porcelain in Yuan glaze belongs to exotic goods. In the rare glazed red porcelain, the shape of the ware is so complete and robust, and the decoration is exquisite and vivid. Its collection value is immeasurable!
