With the years Chang Shijiang's work has improved. His original works bore in the past already the characteristics of a very strong personality. Today he get unmistakably an affirmation with his own and unique style.

　　Especially notable is his particularly use of the colors. This is most important for an art painter. The color choices of Chang Shijiang are unique and so his own only. This make him an unequaled colorist. His colors strokes amplify each other in an incomparable way and it gives the surrounding color strokes more aesthetic value.

　　Chang Shijiang's rely also on an important factor in Chinese art: spontaneity. It is very present in his work, unlike that of most of the western painters. It brings a very unusual look to it. He will not hesitate to revisit the strokes. He won't loose the grip on their endless variants of color until he gets the desire result.

This is  characterized with his respect for the Chinese culture and masters, but nevertheless he follows also the actual tendencies of our time with an explosion of creativity.
