汝窑，中华传统制瓷著名工艺之一，中国北宋时期主要代表瓷，五大名窑之一，因产于汝州而得名，在中国陶瓷史上素有“汝窑为魁”之称。
‍汝窑以青瓷为主，釉色有粉青、豆青、卵青、虾青等，汝窑瓷胎体较薄，釉层较厚，有玉石般的质感，釉面有很细的开片。后人评价“其色卵白，如堆脂，然汁中榨眼隐若蟹爪，底有芝麻细小挣针”。可见汝窑烧制的青瓷确有独特魅力，被人们推举为五窑之首，名副其实。
很多人都不清楚"奉华"二字为何意，经查阅众多史料记载，在部分流通在收藏市场上的汝瓷款为“奉华”，事实上，奉华是宋徽宗赵佶时，一献女取名为“奉华”，“奉华”得到宋徽宗宠爱后，御封她为刘妃，赐宫一座，取名叫 “奉华宫”。
刘贵妃本是酒家之女，出身卑贱，但长得光艳风流，有倾国倾城之貌。徽宗对刘氏宠爱有加，与她形影不离。史书上记载，刘氏天资颖悟，善于逢迎徽宗，而且还有点儿才华，会画画，她自己有两方章，一大一小，刻着“奉华”两个字，在传世的一幅曾被刘贵妃收藏的名画上，钤盖有“奉华”小印一方，说明当年这些器物就陈设在刘贵妃所居的奉华堂内。
此件藏品底部刻有“奉华”字样的铭款，有一种淡淡的天青色，色调较稳定，多数釉面无光泽，这见证着一段美丽的记忆。
