Love Infinity - Sue Webster
I met Sue Webster for the first time at her home and studio, a beautifully designed house - formerly the residence of the famous Mole Man (so called for digging an elaborate network of tunnels under it!) The big wall in the studio is covered in a 'crime map' where various stories and influences from her life, fragments, are linked by orange thread. Sue has had a very interesting journey between her rural home to London, becoming a central part of the art scene from the 90's. This was a time of punk attitude in art. Artists 'did it themselves' - breaking away from the traditional gallery system and staging their own exhibitions. Sue's fierce independence and string image were greatly influenced by siouxsie sioux if Siouxsie and the Banshees. Unlike the previous generation, they didn't need a man to support them. Sue is sensitive and creative. A very special energetic soul.
